Chapter 4

Maya's P.O.V

What am I doing why am I kissing Lucas?

I only just met him!

I shouldn't be doing this!

But it feels good...

I pulled away and looked over to the door where a girl with brown hair stood.

It took a moment for me to realise that it was the girl who tried to kill me with her bare hands.

Lucas turned and faced the door, "What are doing here Riley?"

She looked hurt and turned around and walked out, I got up and followed her into the corridor and she ran into the stairwell.

"She kissed him, why would she kiss him?" I stood outside the door and listened.

"Why do you care you are the one that tried to kill her!" A male voice boomed in the stairwell.

"I don't care it's just she was my first never mind." Riley stopped talking and I could hear sobs coming from the stairwell.

"She was your first what, why are you crying?" The unfamiliar voice questioned.

"Nothing." Riley screamed and opened the door and ran past me not seeing me there.

"Riley" A boy ran out of the stairwell and stop outside the door, he turned around and looked at me.

"Who are you?" He said looking at me really disgusted and angry.

"No one important." I said and walked away.

Why was she upset I kissed Lucas? It's her fault we ended up like this.

Riley's P.O.V

"What am I doing?" I said as I ran out of the hospital.

"Riley?" I heard Luke scream from behind me in the distance, "Riley wait!" I turned around and he was running after me.

He caught up and stood in front of me "What the hell was that performance for? I was just asking a question!" He said with a furrowed brow.

"I don't want to talk about it Luke, it's none of your business I haven't even known you that long." I said trying to walk away but he grabbed my arm and pulled me back.

"Don't speak to me like that or you will regret it, in fact you are now my pet you will do whatever I say or I will hurt you and I will hurt Maya." He grinned and looked me in the eyes, his eyes were cold and emotionless.

"What do you mean, I don't care what you do to Maya." I said avoiding eye contact and ripped my arm out of his grip.

"Yes you do I saw your face when you saw Maya and Lucas kissing it was like your heart was ripped out of your chest, now if you want me to stay away from her because I will do more than strangle her a little bit you will do what I say, okay." He said turning his grin into a straight line.

I nodded and gulped back the lump in my throat.

"Good, now you are my girlfriend and you can't do anything about it and I have permission to do anything I want to you okee dokee." he smiled grabbing my hips and pulling me towards him. "And if you tell anyone you are dead, you aren't the only one with a temper".

I nodded feeling a tear run down my cheek, he put his hand up to my face and wiped it away. "Aw don't cry I know how to make you feel better." He said running his hand up my thigh and then grabbing my hand and pulling me with him.

"Where are we going?" I questioned terrified of where he is taking me.

"You will see but you are going to love it no matter how much you hate me." We arrived at a building and we went inside to an apartment he pushed me inside and locked the door.

"Don't worry my parents aren't home they are basically never home." he said and he grabbed me by my arms and pushed me onto the couch and climbed on top of me.

"What are you do-" Luke interrupted me by putting his hand over my mouth.

"Shhhh don't speak" he said unbuttoning the top two buttons to my shirt.

"Luke honey are you home?" A women's voice came from outside the door.

"Yes mother." he said groaning because of the interruption.

"Could you come help me with the groceries please?" She asked and he got up and opened the door I took that as my chance and when he opened the door I ran outside the apartment and sprinted out of the building.

I could hear him running after me yelling my name and then he said something that made my stomach knot "You and your little slut friend are going to get it now." I had to warn Maya but she wouldn't listen to me if I told her.

I kept running and ran back to the hospital, I had to tell Lucas he is the only one that can protect her now.

I ran to Maya's room and I looked through the window and she was sitting on the bed crying and Lucas wasn't there.

"Riley what the hell are you still doing here?" A voice boomed from behind me making me jump in fright, I turned around and Lucas stood in front of me and his cheeks were tear stained.

"Are you crying?" I said trying not to laugh, seeing Lucas Friar crying made me feel happy inside and it made me laugh, but then I remembered why I was here.

"Doesn't matter I need to tell you something please." he looked at me with a confused look on his face.

"Why do you need to tell me something" he questioned.

"Because you are the only person that can protect Maya, she is in danger." I said letting a tear roll down my cheek and looking down at the ground ashamed of what has happened tonight.
