As I reached the dining room table, I noticed that there were people in the room besides for family. I took the time to look at these guests. As soon as I saw them I noticed that they were Rachel, Greg, their parents and Jeremy, who was sitting directly in front of each other.
Jeremy was clutching the table so hard that he left a large dent and I'm sure if he hadn't noticed and let go he woulds have ripped the table into two.
Greg was sitting in the same position except for his hands which were clenched at his side.
My parents were oblivious to the anger radiating between the two.
I sat down next to Greg and held his hand. I stroked his hand in an effort to calm him down. It worked.
"Hay Madeline" he said with a half smile while turning to look at me.
"Hi." I greeted, "Not to be rude, but why are you here?"
He chuckled in reply and answered "Well, it got really late and your mother and father invited us to stay the night."
I smiled at him, "you should have come seen me" I said and pecked him on the lips, forgetting all about our parents and Jeremy, who had looked away when he saw us kiss.
We then saw the flash of a camera. We turned to see our moms oohing and ahing at the photo.
My eyebrows furrowed and I asked, "Oh, I forgot to ask how do we show up in photos?"
My mother burst into fits of giggles. "Honey... You didn't actually believe those lies about vampires? Did you?" She managed to gasp out.
"I don't know I just kind of... I don't know" I replied not knowing what to say.
"Madeline, we don't burn in sun light, we can't be killed with a wooden stake, aren't burnt by a cross and holy water is just water to us" my father said with another chuckle.
I blushed a deeper red if that was even possible.
"Maddy, ancient vampire have told breathers these myths to throw them of our trail. Look into a mirror and they immediately take back their suspicion," Greg replied before kissing my forehead.
"Oh," I said completely embarrassed. I should have known that this was the case, after all after I became a vampire I went outside and didn't, you know, die. "So," I changed the subject, "what are we doing today?"
"Oh well you and I are going out," Greg informed me.
"Oh really and what exactly are we doing while we are out?" I said raising an eyebrow.
"Now that is for me to know and for you to find out-"
"Please tell me?" I interrupted.
"As I was saying, that is for me to know and for you to find out when we get there," he finished.
I thought to myself that this was the perfect time to perfect my puppy dog eyes.
"Pwease?" I asked in a baby voice.
"Mmm... No?" He said breaking.
"Pwease!" I continued.
"Ug! Okay!" He was defeated,"we're going ice-skating, but I'm not telling you what else!"
"Whipped!" Called out Rachel.
"Am not!" They bickered like 5 year olds.
I kissed Greg on the cheek and said "I can't wait."
