Ch 3

My mouth curves up into a relieved smile when my hands finally fall upon the worn cover I was searching for. It was right where it should have been.

With a little grin I pull my hand out from underneath Mr. Weasels pillow and let my eyes meet the faded black kanji. Bingo Book. Quickly I roll onto the bed and flip open the book, soft purrs vibrating through my throat as I look for the name.

It takes a few minutes but my eyes are finally caught by familiar silver hair and blue mask. Also the little orange cover in the profile picture catch my attention. I roll my eyes at the silly human and begin to read.

Kakashi Hatake- 20 years old. Known as the copycat ninja for copying over a thousand jutsu and beware of his own special technique, the lightning fist. Has Uchiha Sharingan in right eye.

With a cheshire grin I take one last look at the picture of a much younger Old Cripple, a jounin for the Hidden Leaf Village. Curiosity quenched, I roll over in the comfortable bed and curl around the bingo book, before closing my eyes to a light catnap.

My light catnap turned into an all-night occasion when I woke up an hour before mini Uchiha and I were supposed to be at the academy to be placed our team. With a lazy stretch, I roll off the bed and land in a crouch. I always found it handy that the "Cats always land on their feet," saying was true. With a big yawn I stand up and quietly slip out of Weasel-chan's room, hopefully without being noticed. I wasn't allowed in any of the bedrooms aside from his.

Mini Uchiha was sitting at the table when I walked into the kitchen to start breakfast, giving me a mini heart attack and looking at me with intense eyes. There was an untouched cup of cold tea sitting in front of him so I had to wonder how long he had actually been intensely staring at the door, waiting for me to come in. He generally relied on me to get him up in the mornings.

"Morning Ducky!" I chirp, trying to act as if his stare wasn't freaking me out a bit. As I passed the table on the way to the stove, I snagged his cup of tea and saw he had literally just stuck a tea bag in a cup in cold water. I hang my head as I realize how lost he would actually be without someone to take care of him.

Instead of my lovely Uchiha master greeting me as he usually did, as in not at all, he began to speak.

"Where were you last night?" He asks me in a monotone voice. "I came down at midnight for a drink and you weren't in your bed.

I smile at him nervously as I remove the teabag from the water, and begin to make a proper cup of tea.

"Well I kind of took a catnap, which turned into a REM sleep." I look down and purposefully leave out where I was sleeping.

"At the park again?" Mini Uchiha sighed. "I thought you'd outgrown that habit."

I just smile brightly at him when I realize he didn't know I was in the house the whole night. I give him an innocent look and shrug my shoulders.

"Guess not," Mini Uchiha sighs at my response. "Why don't you go get ready for today, I'll have breakfast ready when you're done."

Thankfully mini Uchiha is apparently used to my strangeness and not in the mood to argue with me, because he heads upstairs with nothing more than a grunt
