A/N:   You are Sam and Dean's little sister.  You want to start dating a boy but they need to talk to him first.

You had a different view of things than your older brothers, Sam and Dean. They were under the impression that they had to protect you from the boys that you wanted to go out with. Every time you wanted to start to date someone, they had to talk to him. It usually ended with the boy leaving without even saying goodbye. You were tired of this.

One night, you were going out to meet this boy, Garth. He was a really sweet guy and he seemed to really like you and you liked him too. You wanted to start dating him.

As soon as you left your room, Sam accosted you. "Hey, where are you going?"

You craned your head to smile up at him. "To hang out with a friend."

Dean came around the corner. One glance at you and Sam told him everything he needed to know. "This friend have a name?"

You shook your head. "No."

Sam rolled his eyes as he cracked a smile. "So you're hanging out with boy."

It was your turn to roll your eyes. "So?"

Dean wrapped his arm around you as he led you toward the living room. He sat you down on the couch while he and Sam stood in front of you, looking down at you. "So it's a big deal."

You sighed. "Not really. Girls can have platonic relationships with boys."

Dean smirked. "Yeah, I believe you. But 18 year old boys only have one thing in mind. Trust me, I should know."

You shook your head again. "Garth's not like that."

Sam smirked. "His name is Garth?"

You sighed again and put your hands over your face. You couldn't believe they were giving you this talk again. "Yes," you groaned.

Sam gently pulled your hands away with your face. "We want to meet with this Garth character."

You snorted. "Fine. As long as you promise to not run him off like you've run off every other boy you've talked to."

Dean smiled. "You really like him, don't you?"

You nodded. "Yes. So please, take it easy on him?"

Sam nodded. "Of course."

You were about to say something else when there was a knock on the door. Dean went to go answer the door. You knew it was Garth, since you had asked him to come to the bunker, knowing that Sam and Dean would want to talk to him.

Dean came back a few minutes later with a scrawny, cheery boy with an ever present smile on his face. When the boy saw you on the couch, he practically ran over. You barely had time to stand up before he was wrapping his arms around you in a hug. He hugged you for several long moments as you watched Sam and Dean raise their eyebrows at you.

When he finally pulled away, he turned around to face your brothers. He stuck his hand out to Sam. "You must be Sam." Sam shook his hand and then the boy turned to shake Dean's hand. "And you must be Dean. (Y/N)'s told me so much about you."

Sam and Dean both looked at you and you shrugged in response. "This is Garth."

Sam smiled. "Nice to meet you, Garth."

You sat down on the couch, Garth sitting down right beside you. Sam and Dean sat down in chairs, resting their arms on their knees.

It was quiet for several moments before Dean and Sam looked at each other, obviously ready to start questioning Garth's motives when Garth himself started speaking. "My name is Garth Fitzgerald. I've moved around a lot since my brother's in the military. He's raised me since I was 6."

Sam looked confused. "What happened to your parents?"

Garth looked down at his hands and then over to you. You nodded at him and he answered. "They had just picked my oldest brother up from the airport and were on their way home.  He had come home from Iraq for Christmas." Garth paused and you could see tears threatening to spill down his face. He closed his eyes and leaned forward. You gently rubbed his back, hoping to soothe him. After a few seconds of silence, Garth continued, "The train they were riding slipped off the tracks. They had gotten all icy and the train couldn't make the curve in the tracks. The train went off a cliff. There were no survivors."

Sam and Dean looked at each other again. Your parents had also died when you were young and your brothers had raised you by themselves. Sam looked down at his feet and then up at Garth. "We're very sorry about that."

Garth smiled. "Thank you. Although I should be the one thanking you and Dean."

Dean looked confused. "Why?"

Garth looked over at you as he took your hand in his. "(Y/N) has been encouraging me to do what I love, no matter what anyone says."

At the looks from Sam and Dean, you nod. "Garth has been wanting to audition for the school musical. Some bullies told him that only girls auditioned for musicals. I told them to shove off."

Dean smiled. "Atta girl."

Garth glanced between Sam and Dean as he asked, "You're not going to interrogate me about courting your little sister?"

Dean shook his head. "Nah. There's no need to."

Sam nodded, agreeing with what Dean had said. "Yeah we can see that you're a very nice guy."

Garth smiled. "Now I feel free to do this." He leaned over and kissed you on the cheek. Sam and Dean sat in shock as you kissed Garth's cheek.

Garth smiled even wider, if that was possible. "I should probably be going now. Goodnight everybody."

You smiled back at him as you stood up with him. "Goodnight Garth."

Sam and Dean both returned the goodnight. Sam offered to show Garth to the door but Garth said he could find it alright.

After Garth left the room, Dean turned to you. "Should we expect to be seeing more of him?"

You nodded and smiled. "Absolutely."

Sam and Dean both nodded as they smiled back at you. "Good."

Dean looked at the doorway Garth had walked through. "I don't usually like the boys you bring home...but Garth is nice. I like him."

And that you considered the greatest victory in the world. You had finally found a boyfriend that your brothers both approved of.
