Chapter 31-
Courtland's POV:
I rustled around in my sleep before I pried my eyes open. They were like glued shut and my throat was dry.
"Ugh..."I groaned rolling over. I rolled over to Dimitri's sleeping face. We were in my bedroom. There was a small light coming in through my bedroom. I looked over at my clock and it was five AM. I stretched my legs and rolled back over to face Dimitri. His lips were parted slightly and he was breathing softly. His hair was a bit messy. Bed head. But it looked okay.
I tried to resist but I couldn't. I lightly touched his soft hair and my hands trailed down lightly brushing over his eyes and cheek. My hand trailed down slowly and went over his lips and he rustled a bit before slowly opening his eyes.
"My love."He said some Russian accent coming out. I smiled and placed my hand on his cheek and he kissed the palm of it.
"I was afraid I wouldn't wake up."I said nervously.
"But you did."
"I'm still wondering if this is a dream...or the afterlife."
"And what if it is?" He asked.
"Then I don't want to wake up." I whispered pressing my lips softly against his. He placed his hand on my back and pulled me close to him while putting his other arm around my neck and rolling me over on my back.
"Do you remember what I told you?" I asked.
"Yes." He smiled.
"Well?"
"You'll have to wait. Your mom wants to see it." He laughed. Oh mum...
I fell back asleep tight against his chest and we woke up around ten. We went down for breakfast but first I had a shower as did he. I was wearing a lacy white, flowy tank top and jean shorts.
"Oh thank God." My mum said relieved and hugging me tightly. I hugged her back before she guided me to the chair.
"I was so nervous. Your father had told me what Uriel said and I couldn't sleep knowing that anything could have happened." She admitted sitting across from me while Dimitri sat next to me.
"She is strong, Vana." My dad said smiling at her. she made a small smile.
"I'm just glad your okay. I want all this pesky angel stuff over and done with so that we can be a normal family. Well as normal as we can get anyhow." She smiled. I was glad nobody was pestering me about what had happened. I hated the episodes and I never wanted to talk about them.
A little while later I saw the sun shining through the windows. I wanted to get out. The boys were with their girlfriends so I went downstairs to see Dimitri sitting in the rec room watching TV. I came behind the couch and flipped over so that my head was resting on his lap.
"What's up?" He asked.
"I'm bored and I wanted to see you." I laughed scratching my nails lightly on the back of his head. He closed his eyes for a second and I giggled. I moved up so that my head was resting on the arm rest. My leg was angled up and swaying slightly back and forth. My shirt rode up a bit and he placed his hand on my bare skin making goose bumps rise.
He smirked at me and I smiled.
"Don't."I warned as his hand inched up.
"What?" He asked innocently.
"Dimitri." I warned again he just smirked and slowly kept moving his hand up so that it was lightly touching my bra. I starred into his eyes right about to say something but I stopped. Something flashed in his eyes. It was lust, dominance and possessiveness altogether at once. I inhaled sharply and sat up, my blonde hair swinging back. He starred at me amused and I kissed him aggressively. He was shocked but lightly scrapped my bare back. I scratched his shoulders with my nails and he growled.
Shoulders were a sensitive spot to werewolves. It was where your mate marked you and he didn't like me scratching so aggressively because it would make him want me more. I smirked against his lips and scratched harder and he growled deeper and pushed me down on the couch. He pressed his thigh right up against my core and my tightly cladded jeans. He then scratched my bare thigh and hitched it to his hip. I brought up my leg and I could feel the bulge in his khaki shorts.
I pushed him back up aggressively. I was no average female wolf. He growled at me. Alpha mates are not supposed to be dominant towards their alpha. They are submissive.
I smiled and pushed him down hard and straddled his hips letting my blonde hair fall. He trailed his fingertips down my back and rested his hands on my ass. I didn't object since I did take away his manly pride, so for payback I firmly pressed my core against his...noticeable member and grounded slightly making him grip his hands on my ass tightly.
"Dimitri." I hissed, not in pain but in pleasure.
"Courtland. Don't." He warned. He smashed his lips against mine pushing me back but I held my ground and grounded into him harder making my stomach feel weird and all light.
"Courtland?" I heard someone call. It was my mum. I lifted my head and she was at the top of the stairs. She couldn't see us obviously.
"Yes, mum?" I asked.
"I was just checking where you were." She called.
"She is with me, My Lady." Dimitri said politely.
"Oh. Sorry." She apologized. She knew exactly what was going on. Sneaky devil.
"I swear to God we better be getting married in the next month."Dimitri said.
"Why?"I giggled.
"Because I want to mark you and make sure no one takes you away from me and I want to let everyone know you are my wife." He said nibbling on the mark spot on my shoulder.
"Dimitri..."I moaned softly. Lightly placing my hands on his shoulders.
"Let's go for a walk."He said taking my hand. we walked upstairs and outside and walked along the path. although I had a feeling I was being watched.
"I feel like I'm being watched." I said.
"That is because you are." He said turning to me. All of a sudden he got down on one knee and my mouth dropped. My stomach flipped furiously.
"Courtland. Will you marry me please? because I cannot live without you and I can't imagine being away from you. Ever."He said pulling out a tiny purple velvet box and opening it to a beautiful ring. I pulled it out and the band had diamonds all on the band and little leaves covered in diamonds. A little rose shaped diamond that was blue and silver came out from the "leaves". It was beautiful. On the inside it said:
"You will always be my bestest most special friend, Love Dimitri." I said reading it out. He always said that to me. I placed it on my finger and admired it. I completely forgot that he was waiting for my answer.
"Well?"He asked laughing.
"Yes! Yes I will marry you because I love you so much!"I said practically yelling. He got up and I jumped at him hugging him tightly. He caught me and kissed my head.
"Yes!" Someone said. I turned and literally everyone in the house; Dad, the boys, their girls, maids, butlers, chefs, guards and other pack members were smiling and clapping and mum was cheering. I laughed and lightly kissed him before hugging him tightly again.
No words could describe how badly I wanted to be his wife and sleep next to him every night and have children with him.
