Chapter 10-
Courtland's POV:
I was let off of "probation" to shop with my parents for christmas stuff. We walked through the mall as christmas music from the human world played.
"I don't even know what your brothers want..." My mom sighed as we walked around.
"Video games, lap tops...New hockey sticks...Come on mom." I said hitting her arm lightly as my dad walked beside her doing stuff on his phone.
"You all are getting too old for me. I miss the good ol' days when you all were little." She said wrapping her arm around my shoulder.
"Well...mom you know you don't age. Why don't you and dad have another kid?"
"That's what I told her, Court." Dad said.
"I don't know Courtland. It's a high possibility I will get twins or triplets. Would you really want another two or three brothers?"
"Mom I would love that. I wouldn't switch any of those boys for girls."
"I know you wouldn't. Well maybe we will. I'm just so bored. If it was the human world I would be working. But other then that I get up help your father a bit then I'm done." She sighed.
"Have some more kids. Nothing is holding you back." I smiled.
---------
After finishing christmas list shopping my mom took me into a dress store.
"Why do I need a dress?" I moaned.
"Because we have so many christmas parties and no dresses for you." My mum said flipping through the dresses.
"So who is this Dimitri Kolev?" My mom asked. How did she know of this!?
"What?" I said choking a bit.
"That sounds like a boys' name." My father said as he sat on the chair near the dressing rooms watching the bags.
"Honey you have his birthday written in on your calendar."
"He's a friend." I shrugged.
"Courtland you can't lie to your mom. I always find out." She laughed; I didn't say anything I just flipped aimlessly through the dresses.
"And also Taylor texted me a little message talking about a little kiss you two had? Maybe you should tell her to just call sweetheart." My mom said patting my shoulder.
"Courtland. I don't want to be hearing this stuff." My dad warned.
"Cover your ears then Ashy." My mom said teasingly.
"Don't call me that." He growled. My mom shook her head and laughed.
"So are you going to invite him to any christmas parties?"
"Maybe. I mean if the boys bring girls then I guess I will ask him." I shrugged.
"Of course. And you will invite Taylor. I just want you to be happy, cupcake." She smiled handing me a billion dresses to try on.
----------------
I did really good in a crowd of people at the mall and when I got home someone was waiting in my bedroom.
"What are you doing here?" I asked.
"I got bored." Dimitri shrugged.
"Good because I needed to ask you something anyways."
"Yea same here." He agreed.
"Oh...Okay you go first." I said kind of surprised.
"Uh no...you said it first so you go first. That's how it goes." He laughed.
