Becoming a Nashville Predator

Chapter 3

Shea's POV
"Okay guys, Filip is going to be here any minute now. I've heard that he is bringing his little sister Rachael with him too. But, lets get him warmed up to everybody on the team before we do some good ol fashioned chirping haha" I chuckle. The whole group chuckles along with me. We are all about to go get laced up, we are most likely going to be meeting Filip in the locker room.
"Well boys, let's go get laced up for practice." Ryan and James are cracking jokes just like they always are. Carter is making half of the team chuckle, he is basically the team clown.
Filip's POV
David Poile is showing me around the locker rooms.
"And here is where all of your equipment is going to be stored. Now that we have all of that cleared, I think now would be a great time for you to meet the coach." He says somewhat enthusiastically
"Great, I can't wait." I say
We walk down the hallway, and the coach is walking right up to us.
"Great to meet you Filip, glad to have you on the team." He exclaims
"It's great being here." I say
The coach looks slightly to the side of me. I almost forgot that Rachael is standing right behind me.
"Oh how rude of me, this is my sister Rachael. I hope it is alright that she came with me today."
"Hi Rachael, my name is Peter but you can call me coach." He says shaking her hand. She returns the handshake.
"Hello 'coach' it is very nice to meet you, I hope I am not intruding by being here."  She apologizes.
"Not at all! It is great to have you here, you can come any time you would like. I'm sure you will get along great with all of the boys." He comments. Then he notions to me.
"Okay Filip, the boys are waiting in the locker room to meet you. After you are done getting ready, we'll start practice." He says
"Sounds great!" I exclaim
"Where should Rachael go?" I ask
She looks at me worriedly as I ask this. She doesn't like being away from me when she doesn't know the area that she is in.
"She can come with me! I have a couple of surprises for her anyway. And then we can meet you all out on the ice." He says
"Rachael, are you going to be alright?" I ask
"Yes Filip, I'll be fine. See you in a few." She says. I could tell she was excited when coach said he had some things for her. Well, time to go meet the new teammates.
Rachael's POV
I got really excited when coach said he had surprises for me. We didn't have a lot of stuff back in Sweden because we didn't have a lot of money. Hence the whole me and Filip only being able to come here thing.
"So, are you excited to be living here now? How do you like it so far?" Peter says
"I am very excited. Although it is my first time being away from home. This place is so interesting, with all of the different foods, and music. It's great!" I exclaim.
"Well, I am certainly glad to hear it. But if you'll step into my office, I'll give you the surprises I was talking about earlier." He says eagerly
"You didn't have to get me anything." I protest
"Well, you are apart of the team now. So, you will need your own jersey." I slowly said. Just then he pulls out two jerseys, a gold and a white one. The gold one says Rachael on it with the number 7. How did he know that had always been my number? Anyways, and the white one says 'big bro' on it, and it had the number 9 on it.  I was so ecstatic, I was buzzing with happiness!
"Thank you so much coach!!" I go around a give him a big hug.
"But that's not all..." He says. Next, he pulls out a pair of white ice skates with a helmet and some pads.
"Now, you can practice with us on the ice sometime." He smiles at me
"Thank you, thank you. This is amazing!" I say
"Do you mind if I go change into these right now or-"
"Go ahead but you'd better hurry, the boys will be out soon." He says as I rush out the door
Man, I can't wait to show all of this to Filip. I really can't wait to meet the whole team, and skate on the ice with them. This is great!!!
I get done changing and I have my skates and my pads and my helmet on.
"Let's get ready to play some hockey." I say
