Chapter 7

Mike's POV
"Last night was great. Wasn't it?" I said to Carrie
"It was amazing. I love Rachael and Filip, they are so nice." Carrie smiles
"I know, and I can feel that Filip is going to be a great addition to our team." I reply
"I really hope Rachael gives in and says that we can sing at the first preseason game." Carrie says eagerly
"I know! That would be so cool!" I say to her
"I think I'm going to call Bailey up and see if she wants to take Rachael out shopping." Carrie says
"That would be great, you guys can show her around town while we get to know Filip better on the ice." I say
"Alright, I will call Bailey and see if she is free, then we can ask Rachael if she wants to go." Carrie says excitedly. Carrie usually always puts the phone on speaker when she is talking.
"Hello?" Bailey says
"Hey Bailey, I was wondering if you were free today?" Carrie asks
"I am." Bailey replies
"Great! I was going to see if you wanted to take Rachael shopping, go out to eat maybe, and just show her around her town?" Carrie says eagerly
"That sounds like a great idea. Just give me a little bit to get ready and I'll be right over. See you then." Bailey exclaims
"Alright, see you later Bailey!" Carrie smiles
"Okay, I will call Filip and get him to ask Rachael if she would want to go." I say to Carrie
"Okay. I'm going to go get ready. Even if she doesn't want to go, me and Bailey can still have a ladies day." She smiles
I call Filip and he picks up.
"Hey man, what's up?" I say to Filip
"Oh, not much. Just laying down, and watching tv with Rachael. We're kinda bored though." Filip says
"Well, that's great news!" I say
"Why is that?" Filip says questioningly
"Well, Bailey and Carrie want to take Rachael shopping and out to eat. And until practice we can hang out, go grab a bite to eat and get to know each other better." I say
"Sounds like a plan to me, but let me ask Rachael what she wants to do. One second." Filip says
"Rachael, Carrie and Bailey want to take you shopping and stuff. Do you want to go, or-" I hear Filip say in the background.
"She jumped right out of her seat, so I am guessing that is a yes." Filip says
"Okay, get your hockey stuff ready, we can hang out until we go to practice. Me, Carrie, and Bailey will swing by to come pick you guys up in a little bit." I say
"Alright, sounds good. Later Mike." Filip says
"Later Filip." I say eagerly. I'm excited to get to know more about this Swede.

~2 hours later~
Rachael's POV
I am so excited!!! I love being around Bailey and Carrie, they are so nice. I can't wait to go shopping, I never really got to experience the latest trends back home, because we didn't have the money to keep up with that kind of stuff. I am curling my hair, when my favorite song comes on. "A drop in the ocean" by Ron Pope. I start singing along with it and Filip walks in.
"Rachael, you are great at singing, you should totally sing at the first preseason game." Filip says with a smile on his face
"Filip, you know I don't like singing in front of people." I protest
"But you were just singing in front of me." Filip says
"Yeah, but it's different with you. You know me, I've been singing in front of you my whole life. I won't know any of those people." I says
"Just imagine it's a bunch of Filip's in the audience" he smiles. She thinks it over for a minute
"Okay, I'll think about it. But that is not a for sure yes. Just thinking about it makes me anxious." I say to him
"Great!" He says
I go back to curling my hair and singing. After I get done doing that, I get dressed. I put on my my white sweater, with black jeans, and black vans and my beanie that I wear all of the time. I put on perfume and I grab my purse.
"They are about to pull up." Filip says excited
We walk downstairs and we wait outside the hotel for them. They pull up a couple of seconds later in two separate cars. Carrie and Bailey are in the first car and Mike is in the second car. I go and say hi to Mike while Filip says hi to Carrie and Bailey, I hug Filip bye and get into Carrie's car. We pull out of the parking lot and start heading for downtown Nashville.
"So Rachael, are you excited?" Bailey asks
"I am very excited, thank you for taking me out. I was so bored in the hotel." I exasperate
"I bet. I hate being cooped up in the house all day." Bailey says
"So I have three places I really wanted to show you." Carrie says
"Tennessee Chic, Muse, and MODA." Carrie says
"Okay, sounds good." I say
"Then, I was thinking we could eat at The Turnip Truck in the Gulch. I think you would like the food there." Bailey says
"I probably will, I like all food."I say honestly
"Then we are going to be even better friends." Carrie said
This is going to be fun. I love my new home.
