Chapter 17

Rachael's POV
"Okay so tomorrow we are going to be finishing up the chapter about The Industrial Revolution. And remember, you have a three page paper on what you think was the biggest cause of the Industrial Revolution due on Friday." Mrs. Tanner said. Right after she said this, the bell rang signaling for us to leave to go to our second block. We are walking to biology when all of the sudden, Tyler walks up to me and Juli. Juli starts to walk away and I let out a sigh. I was hoping that she wouldn't walk away, but anytime Tyler walks up to us she does.
"Hey Rachael." Tyler says with a smile on his face
"Hey." I say back plainly
"Sorry about this morning, I just really like you." Tyler says. When Tyler said that, I blushed but I was still mad that he had done that to me. I didn't say anything back to Tyler because I was still upset with him.
"Well, anyways, I was wondering if you wanted to go out with me on Saturday. Maybe go out to eat and catch a movie?" Tyler says. I didn't want to say no, because I didn't want to sound mean. I also didn't want to say yes because I was still upset with him.
"Um, sure." I say reluctantly
"Okay, great. I'll pick you up at your house at 6:30 on Saturday then." Tyler says happy and excited
"Okay, that sounds good." I say back to Tyler not all that enthusiastic
"Well, I'm gonna go catch up with Juli again." I say speeding up to talk to Juli. I finally catch up with Juli. I don't know why she walks so fast.
"Hey." I say with a smile to her
"Hey. What did Tyler say?" She asks
"Nothing, he was just talking to me about our new assignment in first block." I say lying to Juli. I feel bad for not telling Juli the truth, but I'm not sure if I want to tell her yet or not.

~The end of the day~
The rest of the day went by pretty slow, and nothing happened in any of my classes. The bell finally rang for the end of school. Juli and I went to my locker and I grabbed my backpack. We stood outside waiting for our rides when Juli's mom pulled up.
"Hey, do you wanna come meet my mom?" Juli asked
"Uh sure." I say with a smile. We walk up to the car and Juli's mom rolled down the window.
"Mom, this is my friend Rachael. She moved here from Sweden not to long ago." Juli says looking from me to her mom
"Hi, it's nice to meet you." I say to Juli's mom, shaking her hand
"Hi Rachael, it's very nice to meet you. My name is Amy." She says shaking my hand back.
"Well, we're holding everybody up. Have a good rest of the day Rachael." Amy says with a smile on her face, waving
"You too!" I say waving back, and walking back to the sidewalk to wait on Filip. I turn around to look for Filip's car and I see Tyler walking my way. He walks right up to me with a big smile on his face.
"Hey Rachael!" He says very happy
"Hey Tyler." I say back. He's really cute, and funny but I'm not sure if I want a boyfriend or not just yet. I'm not as mad at him, I can't hold a grudge against someone.
"Whatcha doin?" Tyler asks
"I'm just waiting on my brother to pick me up, what about you?" I ask
"I'm doing the same. How old is your brother?" He asks me
"He just turned 22." I say back "how old is your brother?" I add
"He's going to turn 18 in September." Tyler says back
"Well that's not to far away. What are you going to get him?" I ask
"I'm thinking about getting us tickets to the first preseason game for the predators." Tyler says with a smile on his face
"Oh, that's really cool." I say with a smile. On the inside I'm freaking out, if Tyler ends up going then he will be watching me sing. And that freaks me out a little.
"Yeah, I just thought that since the first preseason game is two days before his birthday, that I could give him an early birthday present." Tyler says
"That's really sweet. I love watching hockey, especially with my brother." I say wth a big smile
"Yeah, hockey is the best! I love watching the fights!" Tyler's says getting excited
"I do too! They are so much fun to watch!" I say happily. I look and see that Filip's car is pulling up to the school.
"Well, my brother is here, I've got to go. I'll see you tomorrow." I say calling back to Tyler
"Okay, bye Rachael, I'll text you tonight." I hear Tyler say. I hop into Filip's car and we drive back to the apartment. I unlock the door to the apartment, grab a snack, and start working on my homework.
