Chapter 15

Filip's POV
It's Sunday night, and I'm making dinner while Rachael is getting her stuff ready for school tomorrow. She is always telling me about how awesome it is, and I hope that she is really happy here.
"Rachael, dinner is ready." I call to her
"What are we even eating?" Rachael asks walking out of her room
"Steak, your favorite." I say to her smiling
"Yes!" She says grabbing her plate and sitting down on the couch. She turns on the tv and automatically flips to Captain America: The Winter Soldier. Rachael loves Marvel movies and characters, she is such a nerd.
"You're such a nerd." I say to her laughing
"Thanks." Rachael says back
"Hey, are you okay?" I ask concerned
"Yeah, I'm good. I just have a lot of stuff on my mind." Rachael says back blankly
"Is it anything you want to talk about?" I ask
"Not really, I'm just thinking about college and school." She replies
"Well, is everything alright in school?" I ask
"Yeah, I like it there and everything. It's just that with all of the honors classes and the AP class, it's all really overwhelming wth work.
"Oh, okay. Well, if you ever need help with any of it I can try and help as much I can." I say reassuringly "You're a really smart girl. You can figure this stuff out, trust me." I say with a smile
"Thanks Fil." She says leaning over to hug me. Rachael lays her head on my shoulder and eventually passes out. I carry her back to her bedroom, put her into bed, and kissed her on the forehead.
"Goodnight Rachael." I say quietly
"Goodnight Fil, love you." She says very tired
"Love you too sis, now go to bed. You have to be up early in the morning." I say back to her

~Monday morning~

Rachael's POV
"Come on Rachael, it's time to get up." Filip says nudging me
"Five more minutes." I say exhausted
"Nope, you gotta get up now." Filip says laughing as he pulls me up out of my comfy bed and throws me over his shoulder.
"I don't care, I could still sleep like this." I say half laughing, and half asleep
"You woke up late anyways, you only have 40 minutes to get ready." Filip says to me
"What?" I say waking up completely "I can't get ready in 40 minutes, why didn't you wake me up earlier?" I protest. Filip put me down and starts to chuckle
"What?" I ask him
"I lied, you didn't wake up late. I just told you that so you would wake up." Filip says laughing
"That is so not cool." I say punching Filip in the shoulder
"Ow, okay now go get ready." Filip says
"Ugh fine, if I have to." I say back, still tired. I'm curling my hair when I get a text.
Juli- Hey
Rachael-Hey
Juli- What are you doing?
Rachael- Curling my hair. What about you?
Juli-I'm doing my makeup. I just wanted to tell you that Mrs. Tanner wanted us all to meet in her classroom 15 minutes before class starts. Just wanted to let you know.
Rachael-Okay, thanks!
Juli-No problem!
"Hey Filip." I shout to Filip
"Yeah?" She says back
"We have to leave a little earlier. I have to be in class fifteen minutes before the bell rings." I explain
"Okay." Filip says. I hurry up getting ready, I grab my bag, we head out the door, and we are on our way to the school.
"So, are you excited for preseason games?" I ask Filip
"I'm really excited, I just hope that coach will put me on the ice." Filip says
"I hope he does too." I say to Filip with a smile on my face
"So, have you decided on wether or not you're going to sing with Carrie at the first game?" Filip asks me
"I don't know if I should, what if kids from school see me doing it." I say
"Then you would become the coolest kid in school." Filip says to me "And you already know who your real friends are, so just stick by them. Don't go hanging out with the popular kids, stick with the good friends you have now." Filip tells me
"That's what I was planning on. Okay, I will sing with Carrie." I say somewhat excited
"That's great, I will tell the rest of the team and the coach later at our training session." Filip says happily. We pull up to school and I step out of the car.
"Hope you have a good day!" Filip tells me
"You too Fil, love you!" I say back to Filip
"Love you too sis!" Filip says
I turn around and head up the stairs to the school.
"Ugh Monday's." I say under my breath
