Chapter 22

Rachael's POV
"Hey Filip, wanna leave in about 20 minutes?" I ask Filip as I walk into his room. Filip only had jeans on because he just got out of the shower 10 minutes ago.
"Yeah, we can do that." Filip says putting on a navy blue shirt
"Okay." I say leaving his room and walking back into mine. I woke up at 12:00 p.m. and then when I got out of bed, I got a shower. I had to get ready to go to Juli's house in a couple of hours, but I didn't have anything to do. Filip left at around 2:30 with Jennifer to go somewhere, they came back three or four hours later, and then Jennifer left. So, I just sat around and did nothing all day. But, once it was finally time to get ready, I pulled myself off of the couch to go get ready. I go into my bathroom, and I put on my makeup, I straighten my hair, I throw on a hoodie and some jeans, and I go and sit down on the couch while I wait to leave. While I'm waiting for Filip, I text Juli and tell her that we are about to leave.

Rachael- Hey
Juli- Hey
Rachael- My brother and I are about to leave to head over to your house
Juli- Okay, see you soon

Just then, Filip walked out of his bedroom into the living room.
"You ready?" Filip asks me
"Yeah, let's go." I say grabbing my stuff. Filip helps get my bag for me, and I lock the door behind us.
"Do you want to drive again?" Filip asks me as we walk into the parking lot
"Yes!" I say to Filip. Filip throws me the keys, but they are not the keys to his car. When I look up from the keys I see Filip standing, with the biggest smile on his face, in front of a white Jeep.
"Is this for me?" I exclaim to Filip
"It sure is!" Filip says. I run over to Filip and give him the biggest hug ever.
"Thank you so much Filip!" I say excitedly
"You've worked hard to get this car." Filip says to me. I've been saving up money for my car for a long time. Filip said that whatever I save up, he would double it.
"I'll get the money for you when I get back tomorrow, is that okay?" I ask Filip
"Yeah, that's fine. But please, be safe and make sure to buckle up." Filip tells me
"I will, I promise. Thank you again Filip." I say to him
"You're welcome sis." He says putting my stuff in the passenger seat, and walking over to my side of the car where I am already sitting down. Well, there is a full tank of gas, I bought a GPS for you, and you already have the keys. You're all set." Filip says giving me a hug, and a kiss on the cheek.
"I love you Filip." I say with a smile on my face as I turn on the car.
"I love you too sis, drive safe." Filip says. I pull out of my parking spot, and drive out of our complex. Juli only lived about two or three minutes away from me, so I'm gonna go pick up some stuff for my car before I go over there. I decided to go to Walgreens, because there is one close to both of our houses. I pull up to the store, and I walk inside to get the stuff that I need. I grabbed and air-freshener, an auxiliary cord, Clorox wipes, and some mini garbage bags. I grabbed the Clorox wipes so I won't have to touch gas pumps, they are so nasty. I grabbed the garbage bags so I could throw my trash away in there whenever I need to. I check out and go get in my car. I start my car, and plug my aux cord into my phone and the radio and start listening to music. I text Juli and tell her that I am on my way to her house and that I should be there in a few minutes. I pull out of Walgreens, and head over to Juli's house. I pull up to her apartments and tell her that I am here.

Rachael- I'm here
Juli- Okay, I'll come get you.
Rachael- Okay

I wait in my car, and I see Juli walking down the stairs. I grab my stuff, get out of my car, and walk over to her."
"Look, I got a car!" I say excitedly to Juli
"That's awesome!" Juli says
"We can go put your stuff in the apartment, and then go get something to eat." Juli adds
"Okay, sounds good to me." I say back. We walk up to Juli's apartment, I greet her mom and meet her dad, and then we go into her room.
"You guys have a really nice place." I say to Juli
"Thanks." Juli says
"Where were you thinking about going out to eat?" I ask
"We could go to kitchen notes, it's only like 10 minutes away from here." Juli says
"Okay, wanna go now?" I ask
"Sure, just let me grab my purse." Juli says
"Okay, I'll drive." I say picking up my keys, purse, and my phone.
"Okay." Juli says. We walk out to my car, and I plug in the aux cord. I turn on some 80's music, and I turn it up.
"I love 80's music!" Juli says
"Me too, it's great." I say back. Before I pull out, I text Filip and tell him that we are going out to eat. We're on our way to kitchen notes, when we pass Bridgestone Arena. I really want to tell Juli, but I want to keep it a surprise until the first preseason game. We pull up to the restaurant and we go inside.
"Aw, this place is so cute." I say to Juli
"I know!" Juli says back. We order our food, and when it comes to our table, we eat in silence. When we get done, we go to the store to get candy and rent movies. We pull up to the store, and we get all kinds of candy, and then we go get a couple of redbox movies. We got the movies, Fantastic 4, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Goosebumps.
"Anything else you want to get while we're out?" I ask Juli
"Not that I can think of." Juli replies
"Okay then, let's go." I say with a smile. Juli and I get in the car, and we sit in silence, listening to music. We pull up to her apartments, get our stuff, and walk up to her door. I knew these apartments looked familiar, but I didn't know where from. Juli steps into her apartment when I see Anthony walking out of his apartment.
"Hey-" Anthony says as I cut him off
"Shh." I say putting my finger over my mouth. Anything looks at me confused. I put my hand out gesturing for him to wait for one second.
"Hey Juli, I forgot something in my car, I'll be right back." I say poking my head in the door
"Do you want me to come with you?" Juli asks
"No, I'll just be a minute." I say to Juli
"Okay, I'm gonna go ahead and get everything set up." Juli says
"Okay, be back in a few." I reply. I shut the door, and turn around and smile at Anthony
"Hey Anthony." I say walking downstairs with him
"Hey, what's up?" Anthony says
"Not much, I'm spending the night at my friends house. I knew this place sounded familiar, but I didn't know where from." I say to him
"Yeah, Miikka lives on this floor too." Anthony says pointing at a door down the hall
"Hey, guess what?" I say to Anthony as we walk into the parking lot
"What?" Anthony asks. I go and stand in front of my white Jeep, showing it off
"I got a car!" I say happily to Anthony
"That's awesome! That car is better than mine." Anthony says laughing
"Well, it was great seeing you. I'll see you at Monday's practice after school." I say giving Anthony a hug
"Sounds good. Have fun tonight, but not too much fun." He says smiling at me
"And, if you ever need me or Miikka, you can come over anytime." Anthony adds
"Thanks Anthony." I say smiling and waving to Anthony. I walk back up to Juli's apartment, and I let myself in.
"Hey, sorry, I forgot something in my car." I say to Juli
"Who was that guy you were talking to." Juli asks. I'm shocked when she says this, but I keep my cool
"Oh, that was a family friend. I knew these apartments sounded familiar, and thats why, he lives here." I say, lying to Juli
"Oh, okay." Juli says. Juli and I sit down and watch movies and eat candy. We talk about our lives, and we fall asleep at 4:00 in the morning. Tonight was a lot of fun, Juli is my new best friend.
