8- School? School

*Brett's POV*

"Morning Astin. I see you are wearing the T I gave you."
"Morning Brett. Thanks so much I really appreciate it." She smiles wholeheartedly and my knees want to give in so I lean against the lockers. Just then Victoria rocks up with my friends. She's wearing a denim mini skirt and a white crop top with wedge sneakers. Damn my sister rubbed off on me a lot. Bailey stands next to her while Dwane and Shane are shadowing behind them.
"Aaawww Pig Skin is wearing a padded bra for the first time, must be because you have such little boobs!" And with that she smacks Astin's books from her arms. They land on the floor with a thud and I jump a bit. My friends start laughing and I stand behind Astin wanting to pick up her books for her but what will my friends think of me? Will I have any left? If I want her it would have to be undercover and that shit is complicated. All at once it feels like my love for her is forbidden. I want to stand up for her but I dont wanna lose my friends. Astin hesitates to say something but nothing comes out.
"What, you wanna tell me about who took you to buy you that bra?" Astin's face goes pale and she shoots a glance at her sister while Victoria can't keep an evil smirk off her face.
"Tell 'em how you fit the bra on and Brett kissed you! Tell 'em!" Victoria demands.
My friends shoot me an icy glance and I can't bare to look at Astin, it feels like it's a crime to do so. Victoria looks at me sharply and demands an explanation of yesterday. I dont know what to say. I can't tell them that I have genuine feelings for her and that I felt that way for a very long time. I have to lie. And from nowhere I open my mouth and lie to their faces.
"Pshhh who wants Astin I just wanted to make Bailey jealous and it seems that my dumb way to do so worked." All of a sudden it's hard to swallow and the pit in my stomach grows bigger. I lied to her face. I am enternally swearing at myself. I look at Bailey "lovingly" to confirm my lie. Bailey blushses and Victoria expresses an open mouth. I walk over to Bailey. "It was always you that I wanted." I kiss her to further confirm the lie and top it all off with a hug. I swear Astin's kiss was better than hers. She faces my friends and I now face Astin. I can see the hurt in her eyes, the pain and the anger. Her eyes are glassy but she keeps it in. She's so strong. Every part of me is screaming and itching to go over to her and hug her instead of Bailey and kiss her instead of Bailey. I... I just... I love her.
