"Momma." Kate heard a soft whisper but dismissed it and snuggled deeper into the blankets. "Mommy." She felt small hands shaking her and she started to wake up, "momma, I had a bad dream." Alex whispered tears glossing in his eyes.

"Come here bud," Kate was still kinda out of it but was awake enough now to comfort her son. She sat up and rested against the headboard and Alex crawled onto her lap.

He wrapped his arms around her neck and rested his head in the crook of her neck almost on her chest, "I tried to wake daddy, but he was snoring." The boy said softly and Kate kissed his head, "I wanted to let you sleep, but I couldn't wake him."

"It's ok, bud, you can always wake momma up." She rubbed his back and the other arm pulled the blanket up and over them them settled around her son. "Wanna tell me what it was about?" Kate asked softly and Alex was quiet for a moment.

"I don't know.."

"You can tell me, baby, it's ok."

"Well In the dream it was just like when the bad man took me, I wasn't scared though, he was nice, he said he knew you and daddy. He showed me his doctors badge, his name was Josh I think." Kate just listened, every so often she kissed his head. "He even made sure I got buckled up, but he didn't have a car seat. He said it was ok though. He even stopped and got ice cream momma, then I asked to go home but he said no, that's when I started crying. I just wanted you momma." He whispered.

"I know baby, I know."

"He said that I couldn't go home because he was my real daddy and that you took me away from him, is that true momma? Is he the other daddy that I have?"

Kate sighed, "yes, that was him sweetie, but Rick, he's your daddy, ok? Not the other man. Daddy is your daddy."

He nodded, "I know momma, and I love daddy and you a lot." .

Kate and Rick had told Alexander that he had another daddy who couldn't be around because he was far away at work, but that Rick was his true daddy and he would always love him and be there for Alex, and he didn't really understand but he knew, but he also Rick was his dad and that he would always be his dad.

"But after we got the ice cream you found me but in the dream, momma you or daddy or uncle kev and Javi didn't come. We just drove forever.." The boy trailed off and Kate squeezed him tighter.

"But we did come sweetie. We'll always come."

"I know momma." Kate kissed his head. Kate felt Rick sit up.

"You ok buddy?" He asked.

"Yeah daddy, momma made everything better." Rick smiled and kissed his head.

"That's good sweetie." Soon he fell back asleep between his parents and Rick and Kate stayed awake to talk, "how much if that did you hear?"

Kate asked. "Enough. But Kate I wanted to do something." Rick said crawling out of bed. He went to his drawer and finally found what he was looking for. "Here, here it is." He said holding it up.

"Rick what is it?" She asked, it was too dark to see. So she got out of bed and went closer. "Oh my god Rick.."

"I know Kate, not very good time, but I thought we should get it out of the way, and do it together.."

Kate nodded slowly, "yeah, ok, let's do it." She grabbed his hand and pulled him into the bathroom. She shut the door and turned on the light. "Are you sure you want to so this?"

She asked looking at him and he cupped her cheek, "absolutely," he kissed her forehead, "I'll step out and let you do your thing, call me in when your ready.

Kate did the test and had Rick come back I'm and put a timer in his phone. 3 minuets, too long way too long. Kate wasn't gonna lie, she was scared. She knew Rick wouldn't leave, given he was there through her whole pregnancy with Alex, but still, it was scary. Kate sat on the lid of the toilet and Rick knelt in front of her holding her hands.

"Are you sure you want a baby Rick? We didn't plan this, I mean we said we wanted another child, but we said we were gonna wait and-"

"hey, hey," he put his hands on her shoulders, "I'm 100% ok with this sweetheart, yea it's a bit early, but it's what we want right?"

Kate nodded and held his hands. The timer went off and Kate didn't move, "you look." She said and Rick stood up and waked over to the counter where the test sat.

He picked it up and glanced at it, "Kate.."

"Rick, are we pregnant?" Kate stood up and walked to him.

"Babe, we're having a baby!" Rick exclaimed and picked up and twirled Kate around. Setting her back on her feet he brought her in for a kiss.

"We're pregnant.." Kate whispered when they broke apart and rested their foreheads together.

"That we are Mrs. Castle, that we are." They kissed once more and Kate felt whole again, her son was home safe and sound and she was having a baby with the love of her life. Things couldn't be more Perfect.
