my body looks like a bear attacked me. my back is filled with scratches. hickies are placed all over my body.

literally everywhere.

my collarbone, my breasts, my shoulders, my neck, my jaw. i dont even remember him kissing me there.

i pull on a light yellow striped crop top and a pair of ripped jeans. i slip on my white air forces and grab my backpack. i don't want to get noticed but wearing a turtle neck is even more noticeable and the hickies are on my face, therefore i can't hide them.

i wear my hair down, making my hickies a little less obvious. thank the lord my mother left earlier today or else i would've been in a shitload of well, shit.

once i get to school, i bee-line for my locker. my lip stays tucked beneath my teeth as i notice one of the girls in my math class pass me.

i needed to talk to someone when he walks by to at least look like i'm not focused on the marks on my neck. i wave her towards me.

"hey zoë. we have that trig quiz today and of course i didn't study."

"god, i know fleur (yes im winking so much right now). you want to skip out on it and go to yuno?"

"skip trig for sushi? yes. meet me near the water fountains and we can go. your car or mine?"

i feel her eyes slip from mine and further down the hall. her face turns red and her smile drops as she looks between me and grayson.

i turn to face him and quickly turn back around when his eyes meet mine. i fold my arms and look at her, i felt his eyes on me. fleur's breathe hitches as he passes and once he's no longer looking at me, i turn around and understand exactly why.

he's wearing a pair of khaki joggers and a hockey jersey. his hair is loose and i instantly remember entangling my fingers in it last night.

i feel my breathe hitch as i focus back on fleur and we begin to discuss our plan again. hopefully, it works. because if he spends the rest of the day looking like that, i may not be able to handle it.
