Unexpected

It's Time

*5 months after Valentine's Day*

     "He still hasn't proposed yet?!" Gabby said in a shouted whisper.

     "No and I'm not gonna lie, kinda glad he didn't yet because I want to have a little more time with him before we have to stress about wedding planning." Brett looked at Gabby with a serious expression.

     "Ok I get it. I'm sill waiting for Matt to also pop the question. After awhile you start getting anxious waiting for him to ask never knowing when it's going to happen." Gabby told Brett while looking dazed in her thought process.

     Brett chuckled when she saw Gabby's dazed look. She could tell Gabby and Matt were both in love and have been together forever. Her and Kelly were just reaching a year together and didn't want to rush into anything. They both were just happy with having each other right without any added stress.

Gabby and Brett both walked into the firehouse with their duffel bags on their shoulders. They headed to the lockers to put their stuff away but on the way Casey came by.

"Dawson, Brett, good morning." Casey smiled at both girls, but mainly Dawson.

"Morning lieutenant!" Brett chirped trying to break the sexual tension between them so she wasn't third wheeling. As she began to put her things into her she sees Kelly walk into his office looking happier than ever. She decided to take advantage of that and quietly made her exit from the others. As she walked to his office his door was shut. She decided to make his day a little better by gently setting her head against the door while also giving puppy dog eyes to Kelly.

Once Kelly heard the light tap on his door he turned around and enjoyed the sight of the blonde beauty watching him. He gave her a slight head gesture to come in.

"What made you come over here to see me so early in the morning?" He questioned with a smirk and a slight eyebrow raise.

"Well, I just saw my lieutenant come into the firehouse happier than ever so I thought I would come question him." She walked around his office smiling and looking at the different trinkets he had in it.

"Maybe he's really happy that he found an amazing girl that he really cares about." He stood up from his desk and walked over to her.

"Well that's great because I also found a guy that is quite amazing." She smiled up at him once he got closer to her. He took that chance to steal a quick kiss from her. Once they pulled apart she playful hit his chest. "Lieutenant! Won't it be scandalous to see a paramedic and her lieutenant kissing in his office?" She tried to act serious but couldn't once she saw him smiling down at her.

"When should we tell everyone about us?" He questioned wanting to know the answer because he just wanted to proclaim it to the world that he was dating an amazing woman.

"I say let's wait a little longer because I don't want to feel everyone's eyes on us every time we walk in together in the morning." She wrapped her arms around his waist and looked up into is ocean blue eyes. Man she could get lost in them.

"Okay, I'm good with whatever you want." He smiled at her and smiled even bigger when she placed a kiss on his cheek. "Really that's all I get after I told you we can wait to tell everyone?" That caused her to laugh and slowly turn go walk backwards towards the door.

"Well I gotta keep you interested somehow." With that she left him with a wink. She was literally killing him right now. Afterwards he went to his duffel bag and pulled out a small box. He stared at the box for a moment and then set it in one of his desk drawers.

"It's time." He shut the desk drawer softly and walked towards the door. He was anticipating what was going to happen later

NOTE: Well.... Hello fellow readers!!! I just want to start off by saying I AM SO SORRY!!! I did not think it was going to take me this long to write another chapter. I'm going to admit it was a struggle thinking of what to write between my work and school schedule along with writers block.
