Chapter Three
I woke up to a constant banging on our front door. Groaning, I rolled over and checked the time. It was 12:30 in the afternoon.
"She's asleep! Go away!" I heard Lila snap.
I sighed, rolling out of bed in my sporty shorts and black tank top. I threw open my door and saw Lila yelling through the door. "I told you she was asleep!" she shouted.
"Well, I'm not anymore!" I called out.
Lila turned, her dark skin heating up with a blush. I waved her away from the door and opened it myself. "What do you need, Liam?" I asked sharply.
His face turned from tense and angry to mildly surprised and hungry, as he took in my bed head and pajamas. "Wait, before you say anything, come inside," I said, allowing him inside. As angry as I was at being woken up, I knew I looked like a mess and did not want anyone important seeing me like this.
Liam looked around at the slightly messy apartment, then back to me, his milky eyes slowly taking in my outfit of choice, lust clear on his face. "And before you tell me I look like trash remember you just woke me up, got it?" I warned.
He chuckled, smiling. "Trash is the last thing you look like, babe. Anyways, I came to ask why you haven't been answering my texts."
I blinked innocently at him. "I haven't gotten any texts."
His frown deepened, and his eyes skipped to something over my shoulder. I turned to see Lila coming out of her room in her work clothes. "I'll, uh, leave you two alone. Gotta go to work, earn money, you know..." she said awkwardly, slipping past us. "Liam if you hurt her I will rip your balls off and feed them to the ducks at the park. Bye, Ari!" she called over her shoulder as she exited our place.
I folded my arms over my chest, one eyebrow raised at Liam. "But really, I haven't gotten any texts."
In seconds I was lying on my back on the couch, Liam straddling me. I gasped. "What the hell?! Get off me!" I yelled, punching his chest weakly.
"You blocked my number... Didn't you?" he growled.
I opened my mouth to make a snide remark when he grabbed my wrists, pinning them to my chest. "Didn't you?!"
"Y-yes! Okay? I blocked your stupid number," I mumbled.
"Why?" I shuddered as he leaned down, my arms now pinned above my head, and kissed my cheek. "I thought we had gotten off well last night..." he mumured, his breath making me break out in goosebumps.
I took a deep breath, shutting my eyes. "I-I was angry with you..."
"Why?" His lips were on the corner of my jaw again, a smirk on his face when I shivered again. Damn. How did he know exactly where my sweet spot was?
"I hate how you control me."
He rolled his hips once and I gasped, my eyes flashing open to look at him. "I quite like it..."
"Why did I have to go to that damn bar last night," I grumbled.
Liam laughed, kissing across my jaw. "Fate has lovely ways of working, doesn't it? It's been a while since I've seen you. But you're stunning as ever."
I rolled my eyes. "I woke up five minutes ago, doofus."
He grinned. "I can tell. You've got sex hair."
I gasped again, trying to shove him off of me, grunting with effort as I used all my strength to throw him off. The front door opened suddenly and I heard Lila squeak.
