Chapter Eight
"Okay, this is your stop, kiddies," Niall claimed. "Out, out, out."
Liam pushed me back so he could climb out of the car first. I gave Niall a helpless look, mouthing the word "please".
"It'll be alright, Arianne. I promise," he reassured me.
I wiped a tear rolling down my cheek, whimpering as Liam caught hold of my arm, dragging me out of the car.
"In," he directed, pointing at his front door.
I stood stiffly, refusing to move. "Sweetheart, you're already in enough trouble as it is. If I were you, I'd do as I say."
I watched hopelessly as Niall sped off, leaving me alone with my kidnapper. Liam gripped my wrist, pulling on me. I stubbornly dug my heels into the ground, fighting him. Liam easily flipped me onto his shoulder, making me squeal.
"Put me down!"
Next thing I knew, I was lying on his bed, the door slamming and locking as Liam stormed out. I stared up at his ceiling, tears spilling from my eyes and leaking into my hair. I was screwed. Surely he wouldn't let me out of his sight long enough to buy a new ticket and actually get to the airport. I was done for. My last chance of escape crushed forever.
Liam entered the room again, locking it behind him. Slowly, he crawled onto me, kissing a trail from my collarbone to my ear. "Moan for me, baby."I remained still, shutting my eyes as he "punished" me. His hands moved up and down my sides slowly, caressing me.
His mouth fell on mine, his lips moving harshly to get me to respond. One of his hands smoothed down my hair as the other held my hip to the bed. I gasped against his mouth, arching my back in pain as something sunk into my side.
"Shhh, it's okay, baby."
Liam tossed something onto the bedside table. As I turned to see, I realized it was an empty syringe. I looked sadly up at Liam. "W-what did you put in me?"
"Sorry, sweetheart. It's all part of your punishment. You're going to start to feel sleepy. And Then you'll lose feeling in your limbs. And then you'll pass out."
He wiped the tears from my cheeks, smiling softly. "You kidnapped me and then drugged me," I mumbled. "You're disgusting."
"I'm doing it for you. I do it because I care, love."
"I hate you. You've ruined everything."
•flashback•The stranger set me on my feet inside the house, his shirt now soaked from holding me close.
"Stay," he directed before vanishing.I did as he said, shivering. I heard the sound of running water somewhere in the apartment before he appeared again, stalking over to me and scooping me up. I gazed at his face, wondering what he was up to. He looked at me, beautiful brown eyes meeting my plain hazel ones. He had a strong face, but soft at the same time.
"Hi," he greeted.
I blushed lightly, looking away. He brought me into a large bathroom, where a bathtub was filling up with water. Instead of putting me down, he moved so I was hanging over the water and lowered me slowly down. "No! What are you doing?" I tested, putting an arm around his neck to hold me up.
"You need to get warm." the man wrestled me into the water, my body sinking down into the warmth.
I sighed in content, about to slide underneath the surface to enjoy the warmth everywhere, but he wouldn't allow that, pulling me up again.
