When I woke up he was holding me closely as if he feared I would have left while he slept.

I wanted to.

I didn't want this to happen, not now.

But I stayed and I rested in his arms kinda watching him sleep, I listened to his breathing and everything felt so nice.

"I figured" Harry softly chuckled as he walked into my room. "Might wanna get him up, Angela wants to go shopping"

"Okay" I whispered then watched him go out.

"He ruins everything" Max sighed opening his eyes slowly. "How'd you sleep?"

"Great" I nodded sitting up. "Gotta get ready Maxie"

"Just five more minutes" he sighed then kissed my arm. "Thank you"

"Max" I said softly. His whole mood shifted and he sat up as well.

"You don't.." He started to say but stopped.

"No it's not that" I sighed grabbing his neck. "It's-"

"It's always something Alyssa" he lightly chuckled then got out of bed. "Is it Miles? Is it school? Is it Dubai? What excuse is it now?"

"Can you let me explain" I groaned.

"No because I already know the routine kid" he scoffed then stormed out my room.

If he only he knew I was going to say the complete opposite of what he thought.

"You're well loved" Angela giggled as we roamed the city arm in arm. The boys were inches ahead of us laughing about something.

"Yeah sorry about them" I giggled at the paparazzi across the street.

"How do you handle it?" She asked.

I shrugged glancing over at them once more. "Just walk till it's over"

"No privacy" she scoffed. "Must be terrible especially since you're young and testing different waters"

I smirked at her word usage. This wasn't about men taking photographs of me, this was about her son.

"The people I surround myself with tend to handle it just as well as I do" I assured her.

"And when they don't?" She asked, that one was about Miles I'm sure.

"I can't keep people like that in my life because this is my life, privacy isn't something I'm granted and I won't keep someone around who isn't comfortable with that" I shrugged.

"How does Max handle it?" She asked staring at her son.

"Oh he's great" I smiled at his as well. "He loves talking to them, you'll see"

She laughed and her smile made my stomach turn. Soon we wouldn't be able to see that anymore and that killed me.

"Do you think he's happy?" She asked softly. The smile had faded and she looked worried.

"I think he's insanely happy" I assured her once more. "Oh here we are!"

I managed to find a Neman Marcus in this state and it soothed my soul. I needed some retail therapy.

"Anything you want momma, my treat" Max beamed then kissed his moms hair. "Same goes for you Alyssa"

"Oh no this is all for Angela" I scoffed, we played nice for her but I know deep down he didn't even want to be around me.
