Chapter 3: Joining the family

"Dax's POV"

"This must be a joke," I said as I entered the Fairy tail guild hall, "he wouldn't be here otherwise.

"Well that's a surprise," Ban said as he slapped my shoulder, "I never expected to see him here."

"It seems like you two were destined to meet again." Asuna said as she walked in behind me.

"Now this is hilarious." Elaine cried out as she began to laugh.

"Why the hell did you come here?" Axel said angrily.

"We're here to join the guild." Asuna said shyly.

"And who the hell might you be?" he asked annoyed.

"M..... my name's Asuna." she said in a quiet voice while tears form in her eyes.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" I said as I rapped my arm around her and tried to comfort her.

She embraced me and began to cry into my shoulder. Ban and Elaine stepped back to give us some space. Then a short old man appeared from out of nowhere.

"Axel," he said in a stern voice, "who are these people?"

Before he could say anything I spoke up.

"We're wizards sir," I said quickly, "we want to join the guild."

"Interesting," he said, "what type of wiz..."

He was cut off by a guy with pink hair.

"So we've got some new members," he said, "my name's Natsu Dragneel it's nice to meet you.

He extended his hand and wanted me to shake it. I grabbed his hand and it immediately froze. Witch means he's a fire wizard.

"What the hell!" he screamed as he pulled his hand away.

"So I take it you're a fire wizard." I said calmly.

"Yeah i'm a fire wizard," he said, "what does that have to do with this."

"When I make physical contact with a fire wizard the part of them that I make contact with instantly freezes," I said bluntly," but seeing as the ice is already melting it means that you're fairly powerful.

"So that means you're an ice wizard," he said, "great another one like Gray and Axel."

"Natsu stop this foolishness," the old man said, "anyway i'm Makarov Dreyar the guild master.

"It's nice to meet you." Ban said graciously.

"What might your names be?" Makarov asked us.

"I'm Asuna Kiosky and this is my best friend Elaine Fairchild." Asuna said happily.

"And what about you two?" he asked Ban and I.

"I'm Dax Drakor and this is my brother Ban Drakor." I said simply.

"Ok one last thing before you join our guild," he said, "our first master is visiting and I would like you to meet her.

"It would be an honor sir," I said, "where is she?"

"Here just follow me." he said.

We followed him until we saw a short girl with long blonde hair.

"This is Master Mavis." Makarov said.

She turned around to look at us. Her eyes met mine and they widened when she saw my face. She ran up to me and put her arms around me.

"It's you," she said excitedly, "I thought i'd never see you again."

"Sorry," I said, "but do I know you."

She looked up at me surprised.

"So you don't remember me." she said sadly.

"No I don't." I said concerned.

She was about to say something but Makarov interrupted her.

"Excuse me Master Mavis," he said, "but how do you know this boy."

"Well he's the Priest Dragon silly." she said in a funny voice.

"What," he yelled in a fearful voice, "that means he's an ice dragon slayer!"

"Yep that's my bro," Ban said, "a full blown dragon slayer."

"So another dragon slayer has joined the family," a tall blonde guy said, "it's nice to meet you i'm Laxus Dreyar i'm Makarov's grandson."

"It's good to meet you." I said.

"Laxus is a lightning dragon slayer," a tall raven haired guy said, "and i'm Gajeel Redfox an iron dragon slayer.

"It's nice to meet you." I said sincerely.

"So after meeting us are you still willing to join the family." Axel said.

"Axel you may still hate me," I said, "but I can even put up with you if it means being a part of this amazing guild."

"Well then we just need to give each of you your guild mark." Makarov said.

"Ok." we all said and got our marks stamped on.

I got a white mark on my left forearm, Ban got a black mark on his neck, Elaine got a red mark on her right leg, and Asuna got a pink mark on her stomach. After that we said our goodbyes and went back to the place we were staying at.

"Dax?" Asuna said as I closed the door.

"What is it?" I asked her worriedly.

"What did Mavis mean when she said you were the Priest Dragon?" She asked.

"Nothing you need to worry about." I said with a shaky voice.

"Ok," she said, "one more thing."

"Yes." I said curiously.

"Thank you for what you did this morning." she said and then kissed me.

"N.... no problem." I said while blushing.

"Well i'm really tired," she said, " goodnight i'll talk to you more tomorrow.

"Ok," I said, "goodnight sweet dreams."
And with that I went back to my room and went to sleep.
