Chapter 4: Announcement

"Asuna's POV"

I woke up with a feeling of joy and excitement. Joy because yesterday I found out that Dax actually cares about me and excitement because it's our first official day at fairy tail. After I woke up I took a shower and got dressed, then I went to go wake Elaine up and realized she wasn't there.

"I wonder where she went?" I asked myself as I walked to the door.

I opened the door stepped out and immediately slammed into someone.

"Oh my, I am so sorry." I said in a concerned voice.

"It's ok." they said with a familiar voice.

I looked up to see Dax staring at me. My eyes met his and I looked away quickly feeling a little embarrassed.

"Here," he said putting his hand out, "let me help you up."

"Thank you." I said as I grabbed his hand.

"Just seeing you is thanks enough." he said quietly.

"Aww he so cute I wonder if he remembers what happened last night." I thought.

"So do you happen to know where Ban is?" he asked.

"No," I said, "but Elaine is missing too."

"Maybe they went ahead to the guild." he said.

"Let's go and see if they're there," I said, "and while we're there we can take a job."

"Ok." he said bluntly.

We walked over to the guild and I saw Ban laying in the grass by the entrance. Elaine came out of the guild and was walking over to him when she tripped. She landed on Ban and then I noticed something odd they had kissed when she fell on him. She shot back up and started to apologize, and of course Ban was in a daze. Then we ran up to them.

"Hey guys," I said, "what were you just doing."

"Nothing," Ban said quickly, "nothing at all."

"Sure," Dax said skeptically, "i'll believe that when cats fly."

Happy came flying into the conversation.

"Did someone ask for a flying cat?" he asked excitedly.

"Guess that means you believe me." Ban said.

"Anyway Dax and I thought we should all take a job request today." I said.

"You mean as a team?" Elaine asked.

"Yes." Dax said.

"Ok let's do it." Ban said.

We went over to the request board but it was empty.

"You must be the new members," a white haired girl said, "i'm Mirajane the guilds job giver."

"Why aren't there any requests on the board?" Ban asked.

"We aren't taking any requests this week due to the festival." Mira said politely.

"What festival?" I asked.

"Master Makarov will explain everything shortly," she said, "you should go meet some of the other guild members."

"That sounds like a great idea." I said.

I started walking toward some of our guild mates dragging Dax behind me with Elaine and Ban following. As we approached a table full of people I noticed that we a seemed to where the same clothes all the time, Dax in black jeans, a tank top, and skate shoes, Ban in blue jeans with leather pockets, a grey v neck, a black leather jacket, and boots, Elaine in skinny jeans, a tank top, her belt and holsters, and cowboy boots, and me in a skirt, short sleeve shirt, and boots. By the time I finished thinking about it we were in front of a table.

"Hi there you're the new members right," a shirtless guy with black hair said, "i'm Gray Fullbuster."

"It's nice to meet you." we all said.

"And this is Erza Scarlet and Lucy Heartfilia." he said while pointing to an armoured girl with scarlet hair and a blonde girl with a whip on her waist.

"Nice to meet you." we all said again.

"And of course you've already met Natsu." Lucy said.

"Yes we've met the King Dragon." Dax said.

"Dax what's a King Dragon?" I asked curiously.

"A user of fire dragon slayer magic is also known as a King Dragon." he said informatively.

"Interesting," said a voice from behind us, "I turned around and saw a girl with pink hair, a girl with orange hair, and a girl with golden hair.

"Who are you?" Elaine asked.

"I'm Moka Akihira." the pink haired girl said.

"I'm Ezra Brimstone." the orange haired girl said.

"And i'm Luna Azihiro." the golden haired girl said.

"And we're all a part of team magic storm." Moka said.

"Who's your team leader?" Ban asked.

"Axel Starling." Ezra said.

"So what magic do the three of you use?" Dax asked.

"I use snow magic." Moka said.

"I use wave magic." Ezra said.

"And I use memory make magic." Luna said.

"Cool." Elaine said in awe.

"May I have everyone's attention," Master Makarov said, "this week is the Fairy tail tournament and festival we will be taking the whole week off so we can celebrate and the competitors can train for there fights.

"I wonder if I can compete this year." I thought.

"This year's tournament will be a team competition," he continued, "we already have all four spots filled and I will announce their names and members.

" I wonder who they are?" Ban said while snickering.

"The first is Team Dragon Slayer consisting of Laxus, Cobra, Sting, and Rogue, the second is Team Darkness consisting of Jellal, Gajeel, Mira, and Freed," he said, "the third is Team Magic Storm consisting of Axel, Moka, Ezra, and Luna, and finally the fourth team is our newest they're known as Team Ice Shadow and they consist of Dax Drakor, Ban Drakor, Asuna Kiosky, and Elaine Fairchild.

"So that's why you and Elaine left so early." Dax said looking at Ban.

"I thought it would be a nice surprise." Ban said.

"Alright those of you competing go home and get some sleep, tomorrow you will be free to start training." Makarov said.

You guys go on ahead i'll be there in a little bit." Ban said.

After saying goodnight to Ban we went back to our place, Elaine went straight to bed but I stayed up with Dax, I needed to ask him something.

"Dax?" I said.

"What is it?" he asked.

"I've been having trouble sleeping lately and I was wondering if I could stay the night in your room." I said.

"Umm.... ok." he said while blushing.

"Thank you so much. "I said with a smile on my face.

I crawled into bed with him and calmly fell asleep in his arms listening to the soothing sound of his heart beat.
