A Kavi Selection

Chapter 5

Kirstie POV

I stare at him shocked. "M-me?? He nods. "But why? I'm just some common girl." I say looking down. "That's the thing, you might be a common girl but there is something different about you. You aren't some stuck up girl who want to be Queen just so she looks good. My parents told me what you would do if you were queen, if you're Queen turns truly want to make a difference in the kingdom. I like you because of how selfless you are." I look up at him and he is smiling at me. "But we could never be together. The Selection, it wouldn't be fair to the other girls." I feel a tear go down my cheek. "But your saying you like me back?" I giggle. "Out of what I said you go that I like you back." He nods and I sigh. "Yes I like you back. I would be crazy not to. You're an amazing guy and one of my best friends." I smile up at him. He starts to lean forward and kisses my cheek. I blush and try to hide my face. "You sure are cute when you blush." This makes me blush even harder. "Oh my gosh stop making me blush." I laugh. This makes him laugh too.

After a few minutes we calm down. "Ok, but seriously, what do we do. We both know about each other's feelings and it's going to be hard just to carry one like normal." I say. He taps his chin like he's thinkinh. "I'll talk to my parents about it. But for now let's just enjoy our time." I nod and we continue to eat our food. Just then I see the Queen run towards us. She must not see me at first because she starts to yell at Avi. "There you are. I've been looking around for you all morning. You missed lunch and 1 on 1 time with some of the girls to get to know them." Once she gets closer she sees me. "Oh. Hello Kirstie." I nod. "Your highness." She looks back up at Kirstie. "So this is where you've been." He nods. "Can we talk to you." She nods and sits down on the blanket. "What do you need?" She asks sweetly. "Recently Kirstie and I have admitted our feelings for each other but we don't know what to do. It would be unfair to the other girls to cancel the rest of the Selection. But I really do want to be with her." I blush and look away. The Queen sighs. "That's something only you two can awnser. You can always have some one else input. But this is up to yall." Avi sighs and the Queen gets up. "I'll let you two have some time to think."
Once she leaves Avi looks me in the eyes. "I'm willing to end the Selection now. I really want to be with you." He tells me. i nod. "I really want to be with you too. I just don't know how this will work. I'm not royalty, up until a few weeks ago I had never worn shoes. There is no way fit in." I sigh. "So what if you'd never worn shoes, it doesn't matter if you fit in. All that matters is that I get to be with you." "Okay, then lets be together." His smile widens twice as much. "We can tell everyone at dinner." I nod. "Ok, let me go get ready for dinner. I'm sure Scott and Mitch are dying to 'doll' me up as they say." I chuckle. "I'll see you at dinner." I kiss his cheek and go to my room. On the way I see Tori talking to Esther. "Hey Tori, Esther." They smile. I walk over to them. "Can I talk to you two in my room?" They nod and follow me. "What's up?" Tori asks. "I need your help finding a dress for tonight. I know that's what Mitch and Scott are for but this dress has to be perfect." "Why, what's so special about tonight?" Esther asks confused. "Let's just say that tonight is the night we've all been waiting for." It immediately clicks for them. "Avi's choosing his bride!" Esther exclaims. I smile and nod. "How do you know this?" Tori asks. "Let's just say that we've been talking." I giggle and run to my closet before they can ask anymore questions.

After a few minutes of looking around in the closet I hear my door open and Mitch talking to Esther. I look around one more time and my eyes land on the perfect one. I quickly grab it and run out. "Guys I found the perfect one." I show them and they all smile. "Mitch and Scott can you do me a favor?" They nod and bring them to the bathroom to tell them what I want done.

A few hours later

I walkout out of the bathroom and the girls gasp. I am wearing a deep blue dress that is white and sequenced at the top with lace heels. I had the boys trim my hair some and dye it a dark brown, my make up is done simple. I smile at them and spin. "What do you think?" I ask. "You look amazing Kirstie." Tori squeals. "Thanks. Well I better get going dinner starts soon." "Wait, I have the perfect thing for your outfit." Esther says running out of the room. A few minutes later she comes in holding beautiful tiara. "I want you to wear this." She places it on my head and I smile. "Thank you Esther it means a lot." "It's no problem. Now go dinner starts soon." I run out of the room and end up running into some one. I look up and see it is Avi. "Sorry." "It's ok. I was actually looking for you. I wanted to give you something." He pulls out a small velvet box, he opens it and inside I find a blue sapphire heart necklace. "It's beautiful." I gasp. "I thought you'd like it. Let me put it on you." I turn around and pull my hair to the side. Once it's clipped I turn back around and he hands me a letter.

Dear Kirstie,

I can not believe you agreed to be with me. You might not of known this but since the beginning I've had my eyes on you. You are radiant and I couldn't help but feel a pull towards you. Please know through no matter what I will be with you. Even when you wonder why I would love you, I will be there next to you giving you many reasons as to why I love you.

I also hope you like the necklace. I thought it looked like something you would wear.

Surprise!!!

I gasp. "So you're Dragon. I should have known." He smirks. "Yeah. Now come on dinner is starting like now." We both take off and run into the dinning room, hand in hand. Looking around I notice a few glares. I shrug them off and sit in my normal seat.

We all finish up our dinner and Avi clears his throat. Everyone looks at him and he stands up. "Hello... Um, I'm not really sure how to put this, but I have chosen my bride. I know it is still early in the Selection but I can't stand to go through with it anymore. " I see all the girls immediately perk up when he mentions he found his bride. "I have chosen Kirstie." He says smiling down at me. I smile back and hear a few shrieks. I look up and see a small group of girls get up and storm off. I shrug them off and stand up. Avi quickly grabs my hand and drags me up stair, we stop once we are in the middle of an empty hallway. "I wanted to ask you this in privacy but um I was thinking, this is only if you want to, but um, maybe after all the girls remaining leave you could move into a room with me." He stutters nervously. I chuckle and kiss his cheek. "I would love to." He lets out a breath. "Oh thank god. I was so nervous you would say no." "I could tell. " I say smiling. "Do you want to see the room?" I nod my head and he opens the door we were standing by. I walk inside and see a king sized bed up against the wall, a desk pushed in the corner and two French doors leading to a giant balcony looking over the garden. The walls are a light grey with giant gold words that say 'Happily ever after'. "It's beautiful in here." I say while walking around the room. "I thought you would like it. Plus I had Tori and Esther help me decorate it." I walk over and pull hi into a hug. "Thank you." I whisper into his chest. I feel him kiss my hair. "Come on. I'm sure my family wants to talk to you." He takes my hand and I walk with him with the feeling that I am loved.
