A Kavi Selection

Chapter 9

"Here are all the dresses we found for you." Mother says while handing me a stack of about 20 dresses. I quickly walk into the dressing room and get to work on trying on everything.

After about an hour I have 4 to choose from.

The first is a ball gown with shoulder sleeves and tulle around the bottom

Next us a champagne colored dress that was tight fitting. The top was covered in beads.

The third one is ballgown that is almost grey. It has a flower belt around the waist and layers at the bottom.

The last one is very simple. It is white and flowy. It has shoulder straps and a layered look at the top.

I try on all 4 and still can't decide, so I walk out and hand the four to Taylor. "Will you keep these aside for me I need time to think." I tell her and she nods. "Of course." "Thank you." The girls and I head back downstairs to the kitchen where we find about five different cakes. "These must be the sample wedding cakes for you and Avriel to try." Mother says. "Why don't I go get him." Esther says and walks off.

A few minutes later Avi walks in and wraps an arm around my waist. "How was dress shopping." I just shake my head. "I'm stuck between 4. So I'm going to sleep on it ." He nods. "Ok you two these cakes are for you to decide a flavor. Don't worry about the design or anything that is a surprise. Now I will leave you two." Mother walks out and we go over to the cakes. I read each card to see the flavors, strawberry with buttercream icing, red velvet with cream cheese icing, chocolate with a chocolate gnash, carrot cake with cream cheese icing, and vanilla cake with lemon icing.

"Can we eliminate the carrot cake?" Avi asks and I nod. "Yeah and the vanilla." "Honestly my favorite was the red velvet." He says while putting his plate in the sink. "Mine too. Looks like we picked a cake. Lets go tell Mother." He takes my hand and we go find Mother.

"Mom?" Avi ask while looking out in the garden. "Yes?" I hear to my left. We walk that way and see her helping one of the maids. "We just Wanted to let you know we decided on the red velvet cake." Avi says. "Great!" She exclaims. "All we have left is invitations. And those are being sent out tonight." I nod. "We'll your free from wedding duty now." Mother says before walking off to who know where. I look back at Avi. "So what do you want to do?" He asks. "Well I'm going to go talk to Tori about my dress." I say before kissing his cheek and running off to her old room

"Tori." I say in a sing song voice. "Yess?" She asks while sticking her head out of one of the doors. "I need your help." She opens the door further. "Well come on in!" She says while laughing. "So what's up?" She asks. "I can't decide on a wedding dress!" I exclaim. I tell her about all four dresses.

"I think the second one will look amazing on you." She says. I nod it. "Honesty it was probably my favorite." Her smile grows. "Kirstie!! You just picked you wedding dress!" I gasp. "I did didn't I." I say with a huge smile. "Thanks for your help Tori. I've got to let the royal dress maker know." She nods and waves. I run upstairs and to the dress room. "Hello your highness what can I help you with?" He asks. I smile "I wanted to let you know I picked a dress. The champagne colored one." He nods. "Excellent. I will let the Queen know." He goes to walk out but I stop him. "Wait! Is there anyway you won't tell her? I want it to be a suprise for everyone." He nods. "Of course. I'll hide it in here till the wedding." "Thank you so much. Have a good day." I say while walking out of the room.
Next I go find Avi. I look around the first floor until I hear someone humming outside. I follow the sound until I'm out on the balcony. "Hey Dragon." He turns around from facing the garden to look at me. "Did you finally decide on a dress?" He asks. I nod eagerly. "It's beautiful!! I'm so excited." He nids. "Good. So when do I get to see it?" He asks innocently. "When I walk down the isle. Not even your mom knows which one I chose. Only Tori knows." I say with a cheeky smile. "Wow I see how it is." He says mock hurt. "You'll live you big baby." I say while laughing. It doesn't take long for him to burst out laughing too.
Once we're calm it's dinner time. We walk together to the dinningroom and wait for Mother and Father to come in before all of us sit down.
While eating I notice that Ashlynn and her minions are back. Before I can say anything Mother clears her throat. "Ashlynn isn't there something you want to say?" Ashlynn rooms her eyes then looks at Tori. "I am sorry for how I acted Tori. It was uncalled for." She says through gritted teeth. Mother nods approvingly and continues to eat.
For the rest of the night we enjoy talking with each other.
