A Kavi Selection

Chapter 6

Kirstie POV

2 Days later

I make my way to the foyer as quickly as I can. Today Avi and I are going to go to my old house to see my parent, and I was suppose to meet Avi in the foyer 10 minutes ago. I see Avi standing there looking around. "Sorry, I'm late." I say out of breath. "Michael and Scott insisted they take forever to make me look like royalty."
I have on a light lavender dress, lavender heels, and a simple tiara that looks like little branches where woven together. I see Avi look me over and smile brightly. "Well you already looked like royalty to me but now you look indescribable." I blush and he takes my hand. "Come on let's get going." I nod and we walk to the carriage.
During the ride I look around and Remimber the first time I rode in the carriage.

At the house

We get out of the carriage and I run up to the door and knock. It doesn't take long for my mom to open the door and pull me into a tight hug. "Kirstin I've missed you." She says almost in tears. "I've missed you too." She lets go and looks over me. "Wow, look how beautiful you are. Like are real princess, although you were already a princess to me." I blush. "Thanks mom. I want you to meet some one." I wave Avi over and he comes and takes my hand. As soon as my mom realizes who he is she bows. I chuckle and so does Avi. "Please Mrs. Maldonado there is no need to bow." "So I guess you won?" I nod and smile. "Come on in. Your dad is out right now but Graycie is in the back yard." I nod. "I'm going to go surprise her. I'll be right back." I say while slipping off my heels and tip towing around back. I find Graycie sitting on the ground looking up at the sky. "Hey booger." I say and she jumps up. "Kirstie!" She runs over and we hug. "How have you been?" I ask while pushing a piece of hair behind her ear. "Good, I've missed you." "I missed you too." "How is the selection going?" My smile grows. "I won." She lets out a squeal. "That's awesome." I nod. "Come on I want you to meet some one." I drag her to the house and we go inside. I find Avi and my Mom standing there talking to each other like they have been friends for years. "Graycie this is Avi." Avi turns to look at us and smiles at Graycie. She bows like my Mom. "There is no need to bow Graycie, I promise." Avi says while coming over to take my hand. Just then I remember the money that I got a few weeks ago. "I have something for yall just wait here." I run out to the carriage and get the money. "Here this is for yall." I say handing the money to my Mom. She sees what it is and breaks down cry. I pull here into a hug and I can hear her whisper 'thank you' over and over. "it's no problem mom, you guys need it." She pulls back and puts it up. For the next few hours we hang around and catch up with everyone. When it was time to go I hugged everyone and got in the carriage.

During the ride

It isn't till we have been riding for over half an hour that I realize we aren't going to the castle. "Avi where are we going?" I ask confused. "It's a suprise. But I promise you'll love it." He tells me. I nod and lay my head on his shoulder. After a few minutes we pull up nearing a clearing that I immediately recognize. I jump out of the carriage and slip off my shoes before running out into the clearing. "I haven't been here in forever." I tell Avi once he gets close to me. "This use to be my favorite spot to come when we use to have a horse." I face Avi and see him smiling at me. "So I brought you out here, to ask you something." He says while taking my hand. "What is it?" I question. "Well... um... I... um..... Well I know we are already 'engaged but I wanted to ask you this the right way. So will you Kristin Maldonado become my Queen?" He asks while getting down on one knee. I gasp when he pulls out the ring. It is a silver band with small diamonds on the band and surrounding a blue gem. I am so stunned that all I can do is nod my head frantically. Avi's smile grow 2x as wide as it already was. He gets up and slips the ring onto my finger before pulling me in for a long kiss. When he pulls back he lets out a long sigh. "You don't know how nerve-wracking that was." I giggle. "I was already engaged to you, it's not like I would say no." He shrugs. "You never know." Just then a cool breeze blows by and I shiver. "We better head home. It's getting cooler and the sun is setting." Avi says. I nod and we go back to the carriage. During the run I lean against Avi and let out a yawn. I must Have fallen asleep because I don't remember anything else.
