* Piper's P.O.V *

I swayed to the music that was thumping vibrations through the walls, drink in my hand as I laughed with my girls. We screamed the lyrics as we were moving with the beat of the song. The room smelt of sweat, alcohol and hormones. I made my way over to my boyfriend and swung my arms around his shoulders, his smile beamed down at me which caused my stomach to flutter.

"You're so beautiful." He soothed as his hand played with my hair.

The whole room fell silent as it became just the two of us in the room, his lips finding mine. He tasted of whiskey and cigarettes. I pulled away immediately, "Have you been smoking!?" I questioned worriedly.

"I'm sorry baby I just had a puff, I wanted to know what it was like." His raspy voice explained.
"And...?" I raised my eyebrow.
"And it was fucking awful!" He exclaimed, causing us to laugh as we swayed together.

The music pumped through our bodies as the alcohol started to make itself at home in our systems, the bodies around us moving to desperately find a partner to collide and grind with. I finished the cup in my hand and threw it over my shoulder, obviously hitting someone as I heard them complain at whoever threw the cup.

Brady smiled at me and I took in his perfect features, his gorgeous blonde hair with brown tints that faded throughout it from the roots of the strands and his tall, slender physique that would make any girl's mouth water with lust and temptation. His soft hands that held my hips tight enough to let everyone know that I was his and his only, along with those midnight brown eyes that held my emerald eyes' full and undivided attention.

My body moved in sync with his and the pulsing beats that blasted through the amps of the stereo system as we both remained completely and utterly entranced by each other's aura of love and want. His head moved down closer to mine, our noses grazing until my body was torn away from his and back to the circle of Emily, Grace and Stacey which caused us all to giggle.

My gaze connected with Brady's once again as he watched us girls dance and laugh with each other, a smile full of desire and adoration obvious on his face before turning to do shots with his friends as my attention diverted back to my girls, focusing on enjoying the playful aura that was prominent in the air.

I woke up the next morning to my alarm screeching through the tiny speakers of my phone. I turned the alarm off and yawned as I sat up in my spacious bed, stretching my relaxation away and getting out of bed to head into the shower. I turned the tiny handle as I watched icy cold water stream down.

I checked out my appearance before I hopped in and began to lather my body with soap. I looked as well as smelt like a pile of dog shit. I let out a content sigh as soon as the warm water hit my shivering skin, drenching my body with warmth and comfort.

I wrapped the soft baby blue towel around my drenched body as I stepped out of the shower, making my way to the two-door closet that held all of my clothes. I picked out a pair of bleached blue skinny jeans that had little rips on the shins for more of a messy but cute kind of vibe, along with a maroon singlet shirt with a black and white pattered pocket on the chest and paired it with some white converses.

I let my hair air-dry as I applied the usual make-up to my face. Once I was satisfied, I jogged downstairs and greeted my mother biting into an apple as she typed furiously on her laptop.

"You working from home today?" I asked as I scanned the fridge for my normal morning protein shake. My mother grunted in response and a light chuckle escaped my lips.
"Very lady-like, mother" I rolled my eyes playfully as she snorted at my sarcastic comment.

I turned and observed as her auburn coloured eyes squinted at the laptop screen in intense concentration while her tongue slightly glided back and forth over her bottom lip.
"Mum, you don't have to stress so much...Isn't working from home supposed to be less stressful?" I asked earning a sigh from my constant distracting her.

"Honey, you wouldn't understand. You don't know what it's like to have a job that requires so much responsibility." She stated annoyingly.
"That's because you won't let me get a job, so how else am I supposed to understand the wonderful hell of adulthood and workforces?" I asked with a cheeky grin on my face to which my mother only rolled her eyes at.

"That's because you've got to focus on your studies, Piper. You know that good colleges look better on your resume than just your fuddy duddy local colleges."
I groaned in response, knowing she's about to go on a rant about my future and the 'beneficial opportunities I can gain from getting accepted into an a-list college.'

Ugh, please kill me.

"Alright! That's my cue to go to school, bye mum! Love you!" I yelled, grabbing my bag and running out the door with the keys to my car. This car was my baby and not going to lie, it just adds to my perfect reputation in being the most popular girl in school. I'm not one of those, though, anyone else you asked wouldn't believe me, but there's always two sides to each story.

I've just never really bothered to tell my side because I know everyone will just think I'm trying to justify myself, but that's not who I am. It's just who I've become over the past years. It's just how I grew up, I guess.
