I was fucking fuming.

The girls and I straight away turned and headed to the girls' washroom on fast feet. I passed Emily and looked in the direction of her gaze to see that embodiment of filth wink at her.

What the fuck?

"Emily!" I shouted at her and snapped my fingers "Emily, come on!" Her head whipped in my direction and she quickly gulped.
"I'm sorry! Here, I have make-up in my bag so you can re-apply!" She squeaked out and ran after us.

We got into the girls' washrooms and we all immediately started washing the cream and pie crumbs out of our hair and off of our faces. Emily handed me her make-up pouch and I began to apply it.
"So, why did DJ wink at you?" I questioned Emily and her eyes bulged out her head.
"W-What?" She stammered.
"Wait, he winked at you!?" Stacey shrieked.

Emily's cheeks burned into a hot pink as her head shot down and started to walk out. I reached out and grabbed her arm in my hand.

"Was this your idea?" I inquired whilst pointing to Stacey and Grace wiping the food off of themselves.
"What? How could you think I would do that?" She asked, offended.
"No, it makes sense" Grace stated "I mean, why did you follow him after he got punched in the face by Brady?" She interrogated further.
"To see if he was alright, what kind of question is that?" Emily replied heatedly.
"It's a good one" I declared with my eyebrow raised.

What was she hiding? She was dodging the question and I think I have the right to know why DJ winked at her right after he shoved a fucking pie in my face and why she walked out of this pie-free. Emily sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose, looking back up at us with annoyance clear on her features.

"I went after him to see if he wasn't badly injured because it was kind of unreasonable for Brady to punch him in the face" She defended herself.
"That doesn't explain why he winked at you, though" I explained curiously.
"I've honestly got no clue, maybe it was because I was nice to him, I'm not sure" Emily responded whilst shrugging her shoulders.
"Hmm, okay, you better be telling the truth" Stacey warned her, applying the last of her mascara "Because us girls have to stick together if we want to show the boys who is boss" She added, packing up the rest of Emily's make-up and handing her the pouch.

Emily nodded and smiled at her, reassuring us that she was on our side. I nodded approvingly and proceeded to walk out of the bathroom "Now, we just have to figure out a way to get back at them" I stated as the bell rang, signalling us to start heading to our upcoming classes.
"I think I'll sit out of this, I don't want to be a part of all this drama, it's draining" Emily expressed with a small smile on her face and I looked at her with a curious look on my face.
"It's just that I've got so much going on with studying and all of the extra credit assignments I have going on" She explained and I nodded my head because that was fair.

With that, we headed off to our classes.

*Emily's P.O.V*

I walked into the Library as I had a free period so I was going to spend it working on my upcoming assignments that were due. I made a direct line to a table in the back left corner of the Library and placed my books down on the table then walk over to the shelf and started searching for my subject that I'm doing the essay on.

I searched through a few shelves until I found it then took it to my table and placed it next to my book. I sighed as I sat down and started researching The French Revolution. I opened up the novel and started reading.
