We had to wait for about ten minutes while Hi did his daily routine of vomiting.
Emily looked a bit concerned.
"Do you think he'll be alright?" She asked.
"Oh don't worry. It's a habit of his. And the perfume has definitely made it worse." Shelton adjusted his glasses.
"I'm so sorry." She made to comfort him but decided against it.
"Yup. I'm done. We can go. Sorry for the delay, comrades." Hi saluted and walked ahead.
"Let's just go before the bell rings." I waved him off.
The rest of the day was as usual, Hi texting in class, Shelton dozing off with his books wide open, Ella's not very fun hair whip game and Emily being the only one paying attention.

Ben came to pick us up after school.
Does he skip classes? I hope not.
"So what's the occasion?" I asked him.
"Nothing special." He looked back at Sewee.
"Oh, that's a really nice boat." Emily gazed at it blissfully.
"Oh yes, yes it is." Ben beamed, then suddenly gestured her inside, "I've got something for you."
"Already?" Hi blurted out, "But don't you have Tory?" but the two had gone inside.
"Don't worry my jealous friend, he's just being nice and they're pretty similar too, boat and all." I conveyed.
"You still have a chance." Shelton slapped Hi's back.
"I didn't mean it like that." He riposted, but turned red anyway.
"Are you guys coming or what?" Ben called, "I'll leave you boys here."
I stuck my tongue out at the boys, "Ha." I got on Sewee with Ben's help.
Such a gentleman.
"Meanies, waaaaait." Hi scrambled on board while Shelton untied the lines.
Sewee sped off.
"What did you give her?" Shelton asked Ben.
"It's a boat cover. It keeps the boat dry in stormy weather. I had an extra so I gave it to her. She doesn't have to worry about getting wet anymore."
"Thoughtful of you." I smiled. He nodded.
"Thanks again." Emily piped up, "Now I don't need to bother Tory again."
"Are you sure?" I enquired.
She nodded.
The rest of the journey was uneventful. When we reached we bid Emily goodbye and she went into her houseboat. The rest of us met in the evening at the Morris beach.
I brought Coop along, as a cover for staying out late.
I was last to reach.
"Hey, Tor. Look at this." Hi pointed at the sand.
I glanced at the spot he was pointing. It was a message of some sort.
It said 'Miss Me?'
"Isn't it creepy?" Shelton tugged his earlobe.
"No it isn't, it's quite cute." I teased.
"It is definitely-" Hi started.
"I didn't mention it in front of Emily, but have you guys tried flaring recently?" Ben's voice cut through Hi's whine.
"No, I haven't." I said, looking at him.
"Neither have we." Shelton and Hi added, "Did you?"
"I'll try now." He closed his eyes for a few seconds and opened them, now blazing blue, "Better than ever." He grinned.
I shut my eyes and reached in for the wolf. Nothing.
Strange. Maybe I need to focus more.
Coop barked, too bad I couldn't understand him now.
"It's not working." Shelton said feverishly.
Hi was clearly concentrating hard next to him, but after a minute he sighed, "I can't."
What's happening? If Ben could, then why can't we?
"I don't understand." I frowned.
"You won't for quite a while now." I jerked my head backwards.
Just what we needed. I could sense Hi tense behind me, but my eyes were set on just one person.
Will Speckman.
