Ryan's POV

Laying here in the sand covered in leaves and fallen debris to make myself blend in with the surrounding area is not what I would classify as fun, but it is what i am good at. I have been on this mission for four weeks and I have spent three of those here in this spot. I haven't moved. I have a hole dug under me and if the term roughing it is unfamiliar to you then you have no idea what I am talking about.

We have the building surrounded. It is a depot of sorts. Ii watch the trucks go in and out and then I keep track of the people who enter and leave. Not a lot of them leave though, just the truck drivers. If I haven't been sitting here for so long I would think that no one is inside, but  I have seen them and I know they are there. What they are doing in there is yet to be determined, hence why I am camping in sand waiting for an opening for a sign to move in and ambush.

As I am watching the truck enter I can't help but think of my wife. I love saying it. I don't think it will ever get old. Jules is mine forever. I still can't believe it. I was able to write her a quick not before I was stationed to my hole. I hope by now she has received it. I know I am in the middle of no where and to keep someone from knowing where we are it had to be sent four different places just to throw someone off, if they even bothered to track it.

Watching the last truck leave for today, I know that there will be no trucks tomorrow. They have the same schedule over and over. I think we should make our move tonight, sending the signal, which is me moving a small mirror to catch the sun three times in ten second intervals, I prepare to leave my safety. Sending a quick pray to keep me safe, I make my way over to my team.

Slowly, I see my team on the move. We work together well. No one makes a sound and everyone knows where the other is. We have each others back. There are only six of us here on this mission, but thats ok. We are the best of the best for a reason. With our guns drawn we creep to the door. I take aglance through the window to make sure no one is in this part of the warehouse. Finding the all clear, someone picks the lock. As quiet as six huge guys in full military gear and armor can be we make our way into the warehouse. No lights are on. Thats good so far. They haven't been alerted. Walking the perimeter to the back door to where there is a light coming through a door. I take a peek into the room through the small window in the door. We wait and listen. Nothing. One heartbeat. That's it.

I take the intiative and open the door slowly. Always be prepared. I have a wife to go home to. I want to do that in one piece.

Scanning the room I see a guy in the corner. He is facing me. He looks scared but confient at the same time. Taking in my surroundings, I see it before I hear it. The moment I realize he is strapped to a bomb I am yelling for my mento get out of there as fast as possible, but its too late.

I am just rounding the corner to the outside door when the bomb detonates.

I.m thrown a good 100 feet before falling to the ground with a aweful thump. I hit the ground hard. I know I have a few broken bones, but hat is the least of my worries. My skin is burning. It feels like its on fire.

I send a message to our CO that we are down through our wires. Hopefully, he can get it. Hopefully he can find us. I don't know where the others are I can't think. My brain is so scattered and I am loosing consciencous fast.

I send a prayer up to the goddess to keep my wife. My life. My Jules safe. And then black out.

OK. Probably pretty mean of me to leave it ending here. Sorry! I had to write it though, it came to me so quick I was afraid I would loose it :)

Next chapter will be in Jules POV. Let me know what you think...
