Split up

Anika's P.O.V

My sis and I have a dangerous plan but it's something. We are going to split up and go into the library halls that were on the original plan out. It's dangerous because we can get lost easily and since me and Emma are going opposite ways we won't hear each other. I sighed, mom couldn't have gone without us right. At first I was sure mom left us but now I am not sure. 
"Hey Anika you ok"Emma walked over to me with my backpack
I look at her with a sigh "Emma I really don't know anymore. I just want to go home. We might not even have a home anymore" I started tearing up.
"Anika its going to be ok" she look at me and started to walk towards one of the halls "don't worry about the past, worry about the present. Now come on let's go find the spells." Right as her words left her mouth Emma started off to the hall. I got my stuff and went into my hall.
The one hall had a dozen different exits. It not hard to get lost but thankfully mom didn't change the layout. I found my way around and when up one hall and found the library quickly. The only problem is that there are a million different spell books and time was not on my side today. I tried using my magics but since I didn't know what the book was called it didn't help and since me and my sis made illusion spells it made it worse. Also we forgot to make it immune to us. To add on I have to go to another room to meet up with Emma and I have no idea where that is.
"Screechhhhhhh"I heard a loud scratch just behind me on the chalkboard. I stopped. I couldn't move. I wouldn't move. My body was frozen. My mind was blank. I knew there was someone in the room and I knew it wasn't friendly. I wanted to see who it was but I just would not move. I could hear footsteps of them coming closer and closer. Then on that moment I turned around to see. It was him.
