Chapter 23

-Emma's P.O.V
Dreaming

My body felt clean. I was in a castle. It was big and clean. As I rounded a corner Anika walked into me with a book at her face. The book fell and she came with it trying to save it."Anika you know that the book is going to be ok right."
She looked at me."Emma I think I knew that. It's just I couldn't loose my page."
I rolled my eyes and started walking again heading to my mother's chamber.
The dream faded

I woke up with once again another pain in my leg and now a pain in my shoulder from were my dad hit me. I looked around to see where I was. I was in a bed once again, but this time it was in a house with windows. I sat up, but laid back down because of the pain. A man walked inside. It was Aaron.
He looked at me and handed me a glass of water."Hey Emma are you ok. You got hit a lot back there."
I looked at him with confused eyes."Wait you were the man back there."
He gestured for me to take his hand."Um no I wasn't. You were laying outside of Phoenix Drop. You've been out for 3 days. We thought you were gone."
I took his hand and got out of bed slowly."Wait I was out for 3 days!"
He sighed."Ya, Aidan and Zack almost lost their minds. That is why you need to go see them."
I remembered telling Anika to run."Wait has Anika returned."
He looked at me with fear."No. Travis disappeared too. We have been keeping a lookout though."
I speed up past Aaron and walked outside to see a new place. It wasn't Phoenix Drop. It was an island. It was my home.

-Anika's P.O.V

My legs ached. My mouth was dry. Me and Travis had been walking for hours trying to figure out the directions. Travis was sadly leading the way. He said that since I was a girl I should stay in the back. Then I punched him and said ok.
He stopped which made me walk faster."Travis why did you stop."
He gave me a happy look."I think I might have found a village."
I ran his way and we soon found a village called Scaleswind. Travis had said he had been here before and I trusted his judgement I think. We set off not know what would come next, but I had a feeling it wouldn't be nice.
