Senza's POV
The room went silent for a second, but quickly got covered with whispers.
"What? A objection? Is she crazy?" I heard someone say.
Objection?
The girl who had slammed the doors open gasped, looking as if she's trying to find the words to say between breaths.
"I....object...."
The priest standing before me spoke.
"And who are you?"
The purple haired girl stepped forward, towards the priest.
"I... Am Rika Quin."
Quin? Where have I heard that last name... Green hair? What was his name... Rabbit?
"And what tis' your reason, Rika Quin?"
"Because..."
The girl took a deep breath.
"I, Rika Quin, am going to be the next King."
The room abrupted into laughter.
"HAHAHA, YOU?! A tiny girl?! Who we have never heard of?! In hell we'd do that!"
The priest managed to shush the room.
"Your reason..?"
"Princess Senza is responsible for the disturbing event that have happened. Her father's death was her fault. She was the one that killed the King."
Whispers shot through the room. I felt every eye looking at me.
Even the priest.
"...is this true, Princess?"
I looked over to the purple haired girl.
She was smirking.
"I...I wasn't... I wasn't the one who killed him... You- you all have got to believe me! I-I really didn't!"
Shit. Why am I panicking? I need to calm down before my voice becomes a piece of evidence to the fake crime.
I looked over at the priest.
"All who find the princess guilty, please rise."
No one stood.
The priest looked back to Rika.
"As you can see, Quin, no one agrees to your statement. Guards, please get her out of here."
"Wha-what?!!? No- you can't do this! You all are mad! How can you not see that evil in her eyes?!"
The guards began to drag her out. I couldn't help but notice a man in a cloak whispering to another man. The man who was whispered to suddenly stood up.
"...I agree... With Rika Quin... She is right."
The room once again was astonished.
Another man stood.
"Yes, I agree with this fine man. In fact, the princess should be beheaded!"
More and more people in the church stood. They whispered to each other, not sure if I truly did it or not.
"You all... Actually believe this liar?"
My voice was small, and unheard. The priest looked at me. His eyes didn't look normal at all. Actually, no ones eyes in this room was normal. Where was once light in the eyes, it was now just a shade of black. What is going on? Chaos engulfed the room. Shouting everywhere, people running up to me, screaming at me, accusing me for the murder of the King.
"You killed the King!"
"How could you, Princess!? I believed in you!"
"you're such a awful person."
"Die!"
The woman who screamed die ran up to me with a sharp object I couldn't even see because of so many people running up at me at the same time.
Well, this is the end for me.
As I shut my eyes closed, I felt a blast of wind, and my legs being swooped off the floor.
"Senza!"
I opened my eyes to find my bodyguard once again, carrying me.
"Koha! What?"
I noticed that we were quite high in the room, Koha was tied to a rope while swinging to a nearby open window. He lightly landed on the window sill, and tossed me out. Letting out a shriek, I landed in the arms of I-Have-No-Idea-Who. Perhaps another servant. He let me down, and apologized.
"I am so sorry! "
"For?"
He looked up.
"You... You're not mad of how we brought you out of the building?"
"Well... It was kind of dramatic, but at least you saved me!"
"I thought you were going to fre-"
The mans voice was cut off by Koha's loud shouting.
"HEY CLEO! Stop the chatter and lets go before they catch up!"
The man -I guess is Cleo- Nodded and grabbed my hand before running.By the time we stopped running, I was so out of breath I couldn't even walk another inch. But thankfully that was the end of the running. We settled by what looked like a warehouse, or maybe a storage place. Cleo, who was still holding my hand, opened the door and led me in. There was a candle and a bunch of boxes everywhere.
"Uf."
Koha sat down, and sighed.
"well, wasn't that fun?"
There was a long silence.
"Oh. Sorry, I forgot to introduce you two. Cleo, this is Princess Senza."
I looked up at Cleo and smilied.
"Senza is fine."
Plus he probably already knows who I am...
"And Senza this is Cleo."
"N-nice to meet you!"
I nodded.
"So why are we here again?"
Koha ran his fingers through his hair.
"Well... I knew this was going to happen, so I managed to get Cleo to help me save you."
"But I don't know why the people don't believe me! They're eyes were black. They looked... Dead."
"What?"
"You heard me. Their eyes were black."
Koha and Cleo looked at each other, clearly shocked.
"I'm not joking."
Cleo stared at Koha for what seems like forever, and Koha shook his head. They knew something.
"So what are you guys looking at each other blankly for? Are you going to tell me what's going on?"
"...I don't know."
Lies.
"Stop lying. Right after that purple haired girl barged in the ceremony, everything changed. Even the priest turned his back on me. Seriously. If you know anything about this, tell me."
Silence.
I sighed and muttered to myself.
"Are you kidding me? You both know something."
Cleo shook his head and elbowed Koha. They seemed to be having a little conversation.
"Don't look at me! I really don't know anything!"
"UUUUGH FUCKIN HELL. I KNOW YOU BOTH HAVE SOMETHING YOU KNOW. STOP LYING. THIS IS IMPORTANT, THE FUTURE OF OUR KINGDOM DEPENDS ON THIS!"It seemed like forever, but I finally got something out of them. After a few hours of persuasion, they finally let in.
"...fine. It... Has to do with magic."
I started laughing. Magic? Fuck me in the ass twice, please! There is no such thing. It's just tricks to conceal the secret.
"Puh-leaseeee. Stop lying."
"I'm not kidding, it has to do with magic."
I looked up to him, still laughing. His face was dark, and serious.
"Haha... Stop it."
"I'm not joking around."
"Do... Do you know how? What else do you know about this subject?"
"No. And Cleo, check if it's dark out yet. The soldiers are probably all searching for you, likely with the thirst for blood."
Cleo stood up and slowly opened the door.
A few minutes went by, and he came back panting. Shouting was heard behind him.
"Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck!!!"
"What?!"
"They're after us! They saw me!"
"Tch!"
Koha grabbed my hand and lead me out.
"What're you waiting for?! Run!"
Once again, we were running. All I could hear was the rhythm of our breathing, our steps. I could hear the screaming behind us, yelling for us to come back. Quite a few times I tripped because of my dress that was clearly not suited for maneuvering. We finally seemed to lose them. We rushed into a random room and shut the doors. I took a deep breath and sighed. I thought I was never going to get another good breath of air.
"Well... What now?"
Koha had beads of sweat on his face, he was clearly out of breath too.
"They... They'll find us sooner... Or later... We'll have to escape from Vana. Perhaps come another day."
Cleo shook his head.
"No... Didn't you hear them back there? They said we were banished from Vana. If we dared to step another foot into Vana, they would kill and hang our heads on the entrance door."
I cringed.
"We need to leave, then."
"Where will we stay then?!"
My voice shook, my cheeks got hot. I needed to keep my cool. Clam down... Cleo shook his head again.
"We won't be able to get out alive."
We had a long silence. But like usual, Koha broke it.
"One of us will have to be the decoy."MWAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA! That chap took me so long to write, and I added something that wasn't even in my plot before... I don't know if it'll be working in my favor though. But there will be a plot twist!!!
