Hermione awoke from her restless slumber. She checked the cloak that rest on the fireplace mantel. The cloak read 5:30. Classes wouldn't start until eight. Even so Hermione got dressed and ready for school.

She double checked that her homework was completed and in her book bag. She made sure she had ink and quills. She told herself she was ready for a new day. She wasn't ready not really. Not emotionally at least.

Soon the other students would start filling up the common room. Hermione definitely did not want to talk to or even see anyone. She decided to take her stuff and leave. She wasn't sure where she was going but she almost always ended up at the library.

But Today was different. Today she didn't want to go to the library. The library was were Hermione and Severus would spend most of their time if it were empty of course. Which most of the time it was.

Today however Hermione lazily walked or dragged her feet to the owlery. She decided now was as good a time to send her parents some information about what was going on at Hogwarts. She always was sure to keep her parents informed. After the war she needed her parents more than ever. And she needed them the most now. She pulled a quill, an ink bottle, and a scroll of parchment out of her book bag. Dipping the quill in ink and setting the quill to paper, she began to write.

Dear Mum and Dad,
I know I haven't written in a while, I've just been so busy with exams. I wanted you guys to know a few things that are going on at the moment. First off don't worry about me I'm perfectly fine however, the deatheaters are trying to rise again this time without a leader. It's not dangerous like it was last time and Hogwarts is perfectly safe I promise. I love you!

Love, Hermione

She stashed away her quill and ink bottle and rolled up the parchment.

She called for a school owl but Pigwidgeon flew over to Hermione. She hesitated at first but her and Ron were okay now. They were friends again.

She attached the parchment to the owls leg and sent Pig away.

Harry woke up to realize he had missed both breakfast and his morning classes. As he jumped out of bed his stomach growled for food. He checked the time only to see that it was almost lunch.

He dressed and completed some homework that otherwise would have been turned in up incomplete.

He wondered why his teachers made him do homework. Draco was missing and for all he knew he had said his last goodbye to the blonde brat.

However when Harry arrived to the Great Hall, he quickly realized that classes clearly were not in session.

There were no Ravenclaws bent over some homework that had been assigned that morning, nor were the Griffindors joking as usual. For the first time since the battle of Hogwarts, the school looked as grimm as the Forbidden Forest.

He noticed that the whole school was settling in for lunch so he searched for Ron and Hermione.

"Where the bloody hell have you been?" Ron asked as Harry sat down. "You look awful!"

"Thanks Ron." Harry said. "I overslept. What did I miss?"

"Well for starters-" Ron was cut off

"Harry!" Hermione was running into the hall. Harry jumped up and gave Hermione the hug she always demanded.

Once the two sat down Ron continued.

"Anyway there haven't been any classes today. Draco, Parkinson, Goyle, and Snape are all gone. Along with another handful of people. They aren't sure if some of them went willing or were kidnapped like Snape."

"Draco was kidnapped too." Harry protested.

Ron added "I know mate but no one was there to see. There's no proof."

Harry was angry now. How could they not know Draco was kidnapped. There was no way he would willingly join the deatheaters again. Not after what happened last time.
