When Draco returned to Hogwarts it was just after three o'clock. He walked into the castle and to his dormitory. He threw his bags onto his bed and accioed over some wrapping paper, tape and scissors. He looked at what he had bought. He had bought gifts for each of his professors and for his friends. He even bought a gift for both Hermione and Ron. He had just finished wrapping the last gift when Harry arrived. He opened the door quietly. He saw Draco standing in front of all the newly wrapped gifts. He left the door open and walked softly towards Draco. He crept up behind Draco.

"Hey" Harry whispered into Draco's ears as he took him from behind and wrapped his arms around Draco's waist. Draco jumped a little. He had been unaware of the sneaky Griffindor behind him.

"Hey Harry." Draco turned his head. He caressed Harry's face and kissed Harry's cheek.

"You know you shouldn't have left alone." Harry pulled away from Draco. "It's too dangerous right now."

Draco rolled his eyes at Harry, "I'm fine now aren't I?" Harry could tell Draco was getting upset so he let it go.

"So which one's mine?" Harry asked hugging Draco again. He was marveling at all the Christmas presents Draco had wrapped. He counted for twelve. No thirteen?

"That one." Draco said enthusiastically pointing to the smallest gift. It lay atop a much bigger gift the size of five books with green wrapping and a gold ribbon tied neatly around it. Harry observed his gift. It was a small box about the size of a golden snitch. The box was wrapped in Gryffindor red with a curly silver bow wrapped around it. Draco was quite proud of his newly obtained wrapping skills.

"Oh. That's awful small." Harry sighed. "But it's not like size matters." He grinned. Swaying as he continued to hold Draco in front of him.

"You would think that." Draco glared at Harry. His glare changed to a smile much too quickly as he got a clever idea. He turned his body to face Harry's. He's lips were getting closer to Harry's then.... an owl flew in through the opened door. Just as their lips were about to touch the owl hooted.

"Blasted bird!" Harry mumbled under his breath.

Draco walked over to the bird and untied the scroll of parchment attached to it's leg. The bird flew off. Draco unrolled the parchment and read it in his head. He then scribbled a reply and gave it to his own owl sending him away. Harry wasn't sure who sent the letter, what it was about, nor what Draco's response was.

"Where were we?" Harry asked as Draco walked back to him.

"Not now." Was Draco's only response. As he held Harry's hand and dragged him out of the room.

Harry sighed. He wanted to kiss Draco so bad. But he also wanted Draco to kiss him. He worried that Draco wasn't ready and he had made the other boy uncomfortable. He and Draco walked out to the black Lake which would have been frozen over except for the fact there was a giant squid in the lake. The squid had scared Draco when he was younger. The squid never hurt anyone but it was a giant squid. The lake was charmed to stay warm for the squid. Flitwick's handy work no doubt.

"Harry?" Draco sighed stopping under the tree Harry's father had once tormented Snape under. Under the tree Harry, Hermione, and Ron would study at. The tree that Draco had cried under that first day back.

Harry looked concerned, "Yes?"

"What are we?" Draco mumbled. He was looking down at his feet. "I know we are like dating but I don't know...well...I've-"

Draco was cut off by Harry's soft lips locking onto his. He was startled at first. Was he, Draco Malfoy, really kissing the one and only Harry Potter? The-boy-who-lived? The-chosen-one?  Draco kissed him back as Harry pulled Draco closer to him. Draco wrapped his arms around Harry's neck and Harry wrapped his arms around Draco's waist. Draco had never kissed anyone before. In all honesty he was unsure if he was even doing it right. He broke the kiss. He stared into Harry's eyes.

"Was...er...I've never kissed anyone before." Draco confessed, scratching the back of his head.

Harry just chuckled which frightened Draco. Was I really that bad? He thought.

"Well you definitely need more practice!" Harry responded finally after the fit of laughter.

Draco blushed bright red. His checks the color any Gryffindor would be proud of. Harry kissed Draco again but broke the kiss this time. He smiled at Draco who too was beaming with happiness. This was their first kiss. And it was perfect.
