She didn't care who he was. If Tris didn't call in soon he would die with Christina's hands around his throat.
The whole flirty routine back in the sewer turned out to be just that. A routine.
He tried it on every woman they talked to. The trains were controlled in the Factionless headquarters, so they had to get into the headquarters, that was the easy part.
They walked right in. Acted confident. And just walked in like they belonged.
Christina had wanted to break in through a back door, but Ry had insisted. The fact the he had been right made her want to murder him all the more.
"What's with all the hostility? Tris told me you were pretty laid back." Ry's voice cut through her thoughts as Christina wondered down another hall, hopping it lead to the control room.
"Did she happen to mention the weeks of silent treatment she got after I found out she killed my boyfriend?" Christania all but hissed.
"Yep." He was all to cheery. "And also that she wasn't happy with the way you apologized."
"What?" Christina whipped around. "She killed someone I loved, and my apology for grieving wasn't good enough for her?"
"Kinda, yeah." Most men would have backed up, but Ry just glared down at her with all his three extra inches. "You insinuated that she wanted to kill Will. Yes," Ry cut across Christina before she could argue. "you did. You said you hadn't realized she hadn't had a choice. Like you thought she'd had one. Did you really think that Tris would hurt, let alone kill anyone if she had a choice?"
  Christina just glared at him.
"Fine. Be that way. You know I'm right, and I'm starting to think Tris full on lied to me when she claimed you were laid back."
Christina stood in the hall, shaking with fury as Ry walked away. There was no way he was going to survive the next twelve hours.

The white sterile walls that had once been pristine were now gray if not black. The marble floors were brownish gray and cracked. In short, Factionless had done little in the way or maintenance since their overthrow. Evelyn didn't care about hygiene aparently.
Christina did her best not to touch anything as she mad her way through the grimy halls. Ry was unfazed, marching along like a god.
Crap! You did NOT just think that!
Christina mentally slapped herself. Why did she just think that! The man was practically Tris' boyfriend. She's seen the way they looked at each other in the tunnel, they had a bond.
Her thoughts were abruptly snapped off when Ry froze.
"Why did we stop?" Christina growled.
  "Because, Tina, I am lost."
  "What?!?" Christina almost screamed.
"I know where the controls are, and where we are. I just, " he rubbed the back of his neck and turned to face her. "Don't know how to get from here to there."
"Moron!" Christina hissed. "I'll lead. I've been here before. Wait," she paused on her way past Ry. "Why havnt I been leading this whole time?"
"Because we needed to move with purpose and you're a bad actor." A grin spread across his face. It wasn't even a pretty or handsome face, but the smile made her insides turn go tingly.
"Jerk." She muttered and turned, leading them deeper into the belly of the beast.
She was surprised by how fast they made their way through the compound. Before no time they were standing in front of a pair of locked doors.
"Well done, Tina." Ry said as he patted the top of her head.
"Don't touch me." She sneered. "How do we get in?"
"Like this." Ry then pulled a small plastic bundle wrapped in a few straps of metal, there was a screen on the front and a piece of wax paper on the back. "Come one, Christina, let's blow this dump."
Before she could move or say anything, he'd ripped the paper off the back and stuck it the center of the lock, pressed a button and dragged her back down the hall and around a corner.
"Cover your ears and open your mouth, it's gonna be biggish." Ry murmured into her hair as he flattened his body over her's, pressing her into the wall.
Christina didn't entirely want to listen to him, and the fact that he'd said biggish wasn't helping, but she was trapped and didn't have mush choice.
