Hidden Lie

Darkness surrounds one small light,

Unaware of the others, who for her, they fight,

Walls and chains and locked up doors,

He claims it's all to keep out the sores,

A blindfold of sweet words covering her eyes,

Hiding reality's painful cries,

A bruise a day, she just can't see,

This is not her, she needs to be free,

But dreams of perfection and a couple sets of three words,

Won't let his stings truly hurt,

It's a nightmare with a sweet background,

Or a murder, with the wrong person found,

The numbness burning her heart,

Causes his smile 'cause he thinks he's so smart,

But when she does see,

What was hidden underneath,

The hidden lie,

Will render her helpless, She won't even cry,

All the pain will catch up,

While he just raises his cup,

Him smiling like an idiot,

And her, broken like a fool,

So now, She's stuck in the arms of her closest friend,

Saying how she wants the nightmares to end,

Because for him, the hidden lie might be over,

But for her, The pain has only begun.....
