Rose Petal.....
A blank page,
And an ink pen,
A slanted tree,
In the same spot again,
A single rose petal,
Wrapped in warm fingers,
A soft hum,
With feelings that still linger,
Hair pulled back in a ribbon,
And a few strands that hang,
A promise keeping the heart together,
Healing the mark from a fang,
A single rose petal,
Laying right on the page,
A strong voice,
Taking the stage,
Eyes shut tight,
A few tears slipping,
A smile finding it's way,
Even through stumbling and tripping,
A single rose petal,
Pressed in the book,
A confident voice,
Claiming what was took...
