The Day I Left You

Chapter 6

Siren had spent her whole Saturday morning getting ready. From doing her hair to doing her makeup to finding the perfect outfit. She looked into her closet and saw that she had only black clothes. From one outfit to another. It was 6:30 pm when she finally found the perfect outfit.

It was 7:05 when Andy knocked on the door. Andy expect Siren to open the door but her mom did.

"Oh hello. I'm Andy Padilla. I'm here to pick up Siren." Andy commented.

¨Hi. Come in please. Siren is not ready quite yet. But she will be ready in a little.¨Siren's mom commented. Andy started to look around the house. It was a big two story house with brown couches. There was pictures of two people in photos. The two people had to be Siren and her mom but there was not a dad in any of the pictures. There was pictures taken at parks, parties, museums, etc.. The inside of the house was white with a brown roof. There was a big fire place in the middle of one wall with a flat screen t.v. on top of it.The fire place was beautifully made with stones. The house looked like a five star hotel lobby. After walking around the house and looking around Siren was walking down the stairs. They had white steps and brown handles. Siren had curled her hair with her bangs down. She was wearing a black dress that had straps, with a diamond shape cut out in the middle of the dress. The bottom of the dress looked like a skater skirt. With the dress she wore black and white converse. Siren felt weird wearing since the lat time she wore a dress was 4 years ago to her grandmother's funeral.

¨You look so beautiful.¨ Andy acknowledge.

¨Thanks.¨ Siren shyly said.

"Well, shall we go?" Asked Andy.

"Yeah. Mother we are leaving." Siren commented.

"Okay honey. Be home before 10:30." Siren's mom yelled as Siren and Andy were walking out of the door.

"Well your mom is nice." Andy mumbled as they got into the grey BMW.

"She is but she is also very serious." Siren admitted. They were both quite for the rest of the car ride. Siren started to acknowledge how the inside of Andy's car looked like. It was black from the inside. The seat were leather. The car looked like a doctor owned it.

"Is this your parent's car?" Siren asked assuming it was.

"No. It's mine. why?" Andy responded.

"Just because it is so clean." Siren commented. Andy just smiled and kept driving. Andy couldn't help but look at how beautiful Siren looked. It was nothing like he would see her before.

"So where are we going?" Siren asked with so much curiosity. As soon as she looked she could see big screens and a big lines of cars from two stoplights away.

"I hope you like the drive ins." Andy commented as they arrived closer to the front of the line. There three big screens showing the Scorch trials, Divergent, and 27 Dresses. As soon as Siren looked up she realized that they were in and heading to the parking slot for the movie The Scorch Trial. When they had finally found a parking the movie was showing the preview for a action movie coming out in April.

"Do you want popcorn or something?" Andy asked as he started to open the car door.

"Yeah." Siren admitted shyly, hoping that Andy didn't think she was fat. Siren was very insecure about her weight and about what she thought people thought about her. She was especially scared what Andy thought about her. She didn't know why but she liked him and she yearned for him to like her. They walked towards the cafeteria in the dark, under the stars. Not a word came out of neither of their mouths. Finally, in the cafeteria they bought two medium blueberry ICEES, a medium popcorn, and a pack of sour patches.

"So, what kind of music do you like?"Andy asked trying to break the silence as they walked back to the car.

"Rock and metal." Siren answered back with shy tone.

"Isn't that music like depressing? Andy asked.

"No. It just depends who you listen to." Siren claimed. Not long after the conversation the movie started. Siren was drinking her ICEE when all of a sudden she started to get the chills. Her hands were freezing cold when Andy noticed and held her hand. His hands were warm like chocolate chip cookies out of the oven. They were also as soft as a bunnies fur. Siren and Andy were holding hands for about ten minutes when Siren finally said something.

"If you want you can let go." Siren commented. They both didn't want to let go but they were scared about what each other thought. After thinking about it for a minute they let go. Siren just couldn't stop thinking about how she wanted to kiss Andy. Also, how she wants to be able to be his girlfriend. She was scared. She was falling for someone that is a total opposite. Someone that would probably never want to be with someone like her. A girl that is insecure about everything about her, that is so shy, that has depression, and that felt like life was trying to bring her down.

They kept watching the movie but he whole time Siren thought to her self about how she wanted to hold his hand again, lean her head on his shoulder, and just be with him. After that there was no words again.

It was 10:10 when the movie ended and Siren had 20 minutes to get home. On the way to Siren's house they talked and laughed. They would talk as if they knew each other for years. They would have deep conversations about life and about the struggles they had with their families. As soon as they got to Siren's house it was 10:28 pm. Andy went to go to drop off Siren at her front door. They were there for a couple minutes. Andy would hug Siren as if they were together. He would hug her from the back and hold her hand. They were so close to kissing but as soon as Andy would try to go in for a kiss Siren would turn around. Siren didn't know what to think. Andy would hug her as if they were together but she knew that they weren't. No matter how much she wanted to tell Andy how much she liked him, she was scared. She still didn't believe that he liked her back. She had known that he had just gotten out of a relationship and she felt like she was a way of him forgetting about it. 

It was 10:35 when Siren finally entered the house. As soon as Andy got home he texted Siren. They would call each other bae and cute but after 15 minutes Andy finally admitted to liking Siren. He asked if she was willing to give him a try. As soon as she read the message she was shock. She didn't think that he would ask. After  a minute of being frozen in shock she finally said yes. They kept texting for hours till they both fell asleep.
