After being at the park for hours she finally decided to go home. This time she walked and was aware of what she was doing. All the thoughts that ran through her mind were about Andy. Even though she knew she would not be able to see him for a while she knew that their love was stronger than ever. Siren just looked at the ground the whole walk home. Now she had a smile on her face and there were no tears running down her face. She could not wait to be able to see Andy again.
Siren had gotten home but was to scare to go into her house. She was scared to see what her mother would to her because she ran off. She just stood in front of the house staring at it. It was beautiful and it seemed as if the perfect family with the perfect lives lived in it but the imagery was wrong. There was not a perfect family and there was no perfect life in that house. It was a house full of depression that no one saw. She knew that she would have to go in and face her mother anger towards her but she was not ready. She had just stopped crying and was not ready to start again. She tried to force her feet to walk but they would not. She just stood there, praying to God that she would not cry once again.
After about what seemed forever she finally was able to force herself to walk in. It was quite. Too quite. Siren went looking around the house for her mom but she was not home. Instead, she found a note.
"Went to the store to buy some items. Be home in a little. Hope you feel better. I love you." She read.
She did not know what had happened but she loved the fact that her mother was not angry with her. She did have the feeling that the note was a trick by her mother. But she was not going let that get in her way at the moment. For the first time in her life, her mother did not yell at he for doing what she wanted to do. Even though Andy had left Siren was still happy with how the day had gone. She knew nothing could get in her way anymore.
"Hi, honey. How are you? Well, I went to go get you so chocolate chip cookies and vanilla ice cream. Your favorites." Margot claimed as she pulled out the items from the grocery bag.
"Thank you?" Siren added a little suspicious about what was happening.
"I know that you have not had the best day but I hope this can make it better," Margot claimed as she gave Siren the bucket full of vanilla ice cream.
"Thank you so much, mom. I love you." Siren had blurted out of nowhere.
Margot was shocked and did not know what to do. She had not her daughter say that since she was eight. She was too much shock to even say a word. Margot never thought she would hear those words again. It had passed a minute before she could even answer.
"I love you too," Margot added before she got up to go to the bathroom.
Margot stood in front of the bathroom mirror. All she could see was a mother that never tried to understand her daughter's life. She felt embarrassed about how she had treated the one person who stood by her side for so long when no one else did. Siren did everything to keep her happy and Margot did not see it till now. She thought to herself; how could she be the way she was and still think Siren had to be perfect for her.
Siren was on the couch when all of a sudden she felt her phone vibrate. She pulled her iPhone out of her back pocket. She looked at her phone and got the biggest smile. It was Andy calling her.
"Hey I am not able to talk for too long but I wanted to say that I love you and I can not wait to come back to you." Andy rapidly blurted.
"I love you too," Siren claimed.
That was all they were able to say to each other before Andy had to go. Siren was not able to talk to him for such a long time but the fact that he tried his hardest to call her reminded her that he loved her so much and he was going to be hers forever.
That day Siren went to sleep with the biggest smile on her face. She knew he was thinking of her. She could not wait for the day where she had him by her side and was able to hug him like there was no tomorrow.
The year had passed by and Siren was about to graduate. She was freaking out. She had not seen Andy the whole year and he was supposed to be there. All of a sudden Siren got a text from him saying that he was not going to be able to get there on time. She was devastated and did not know what to do. She missed him so much and was excited for her graduation day because she was supposed to see him that day. Siren wanted to cry but she could not because she knew she had a bunch of makeup on.
It was Siren's turn to walk the stage and she had to force a smile on her face. Inside she was crying her eyes out. She could not believe he was not going to come.
Finally, the ceremony had ended and still no sign of Andy. She went walking to her mother that was in the very front of the crowd of people. She was smiling at her mother but she wanted to break into tears.
It was not until the moment Siren and Margot were about to leave that Siren caught Andy's eyes. She ran to him and Jumped onto him. They gave each other the biggest kiss ever and held each other to suffocation. Siren was in tears of joy. When all of a sudden Andy got down on one knee and asked Siren to marry him. Of course, she said yes.
