The gentle wind in the meadow
Caressing my face
With a soft blow.
Loving you is like
The bright rays of the sun
Giving me light
Before the moon makes you run.
Loving you is like
The soft pitter-patter of the rain
Making me wish
That you will always remain.
But
Loving you is like
The thorns of a rose
Making me bleed
And remember my flaws.
Loving you is like
The waves of a stormy ocean
Tearing everything apart
Like a beast might kill a man.
Loving you is like
A never ending nightmare
Waking me up at night
Thinking there might be a snare.
I thought I could hate you
But I couldn't do that to you
Because the only thing keeping me alive
Is loving you.
