Like the whisper of the wind
Like a song in the night
You called out my name
Begged me to stay by your side.
I could have pretended not to hear
I could have pretended not to listen
But I am a weak, weak human
I couldn't resist it.
Your sweet voice reached my ears
It was like a melody long forgotten.
You beckoned me to come near
And I let you take me once again.
