It all came back suddenly
The memories of you and me
Playing for hours in the playground
Trying to see who the most could shout out loud.

When the years for playing was over
We focused on our studies together
And still we remained the best of friends
And struggled through it all.

Then came the last year of high school
We became closer than before
But we can't escape the undeniable truth
That I'll be going away from you.

I am now a hundred miles away
And I fervently wished I have stayed
For in spite the amiable environment
My days without you feel incomplete.

But this, I chose in spite
Of not having you within my sight
Because I know when I get back to you
You'll open your arms to me, and I'm home.
