my amour

On a bright sunny day
On the jolly month of May
I saw your beautiful, serene face
I swear you were bathed in grace.

Golden hair and tawny eyes
They drew me in, no surprise.
Rosy cheeks and doll-like lips
They made me wish for a gentle kiss.

I wonder if you have a lover
Someone who promised to love you forever.
But you are the image of innocence,
Surely, you don't know such insolence.

That heart of yours, I want to hold it,
Protect it, and cherish it.
I want to caress those curly locks
And press you close as we walk through the docks.

If you were to be my lover,
You'll be my treasure, my amour.
I promise you will always be
My beautiful angel, my sweet le bebe.

I won't ever replace you
I won't ever leave you.
Just say yes, sweet darling
And you'll find the love you've been longing.

A/N I based this poem on a manga I recently read, 'Heart of Thomas'. It's amazing, I tell you. But only if you like boys' love and a German setting. The picture is taken from the manga. I just tweaked it a little...

Amour- love
