Chapter 3: The Deal.

~ Nicole Campbell POV~

"Tiffany and Mark !?", I yelled as I tried to sit up.

"Surprise, surprise, now where is she? We already packed her stuff.", Mark said.

"What ? No. You're not taking my daughter!", I said as I sat there in shock.

"Um, you mean OUR daughter", Tiffany said.

"Can I at least get up off of this floor !? Geez. So we can discuss this like adults", I asked in frustration. "Because ringing the doorbell, and politely asking to talk was too gat d*mn hard , right ?".

"We knew you would refuse", Mark said.

"D*mn Right. But since you're here, we can talk", I said as Mark let me go.

"Fine."

I got up and they followed me into the living room. We sat down and they were looking all around .

"Nice place."

"Thanks." I said . "Me and Michael worked hard for it."

"We see."

"Too hard for it to be broken into and torn apart", I said as I rolled my eyes at them.

"Yeah yeah , but down to business.."

"What business ?" I asked as if I didn't know what they were talking about.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about. Alicia . We need her back.", Mark said.

"For what ?!", I asked raising my voice." That's the one question y'all are not answering for me. Y'all gave her up for a reason an-"

"We gave her up because it was too hard for us when we were teenagers ! My mom was going to kick me out, and I barely had anything to begin with!", Tiffany said , cutting me off.

"Okay , but you're STILL not telling me why.", I said , annoyed.

"We can't tell you. Just sign these papers.", Mark said sliding a packet of papers across the table to me.

"No.", I said sliding the papers back."I'm not signing sh*t, until you tell me."

"Ugh , Fine. Her grandmother, Mark's mother, recently passed and she left all her money, and insurance to Alicia. Little did we know, my mother-in-law kept Millions of dollars saved up that she never told us about. Our daughter is worth $70 million. That's why we need her now."

"Wait, so you only want her back for money?! You guys are despicable. I CANNOT sign those papers!", I yelled. I was furious that these people wanted her for the greedy desires.

"You can , and you will", Mark said as he pulled put his gun.

"Tuh, kill me. You still won't have my signature. And she'll have to stay with my husband Michael , her Real Father", I scoffed.

"Haha", mark said, shaking his head, "You think if we kill you, we won't kill him too !? Then she'll have to come with us. Now we can make this easy... or hard"

I couldn't help but let the tears roll down my face. As I sat there, I thought about it. I had to be smart about this. I couldn't risk getting myself and my husband killed. But I love Alicia with all my heart.. Maybe I can compromise with them .

"Let's make a deal", I said, in between sniffles.

"Look b*tch , we don't have time for games.", Tiffany said.

"Look b*tch , hear me out!", I said.

She rolled her eyes.

"What ?"

"I'll let you take her for a week, redeem the money , then bring her RIGHT back, safe and sound", I said , as I pondered on whether or not I really wanted to go through with this.

"Uh sorry, but that wont work. The contract says it has to be with a guardian of at least a year. And we can't wait because when she turns 18 the money is hers and we couldn't get it from her".

"A YEAR !?!?", I yelled as more tears came. " Alicia is everything to me. She fills a part in my heart that I don't think I can go without for a year."

"Oh boohoo . You'll be fine.", Mark said.

"Now that you know the deal, where is she? Tell her she needs to come with us", Tiffany said.

"She's at school and .......Oh sh*t...", I said as I covered my mouth. I Can't believe what I've done...

"What? We can wait . Its just school.", Tiffany said.

How could I be so Stupid !?

"No , that's not the problem...", I said as my legs started to shake.

"Then what's the problem ?? Its only a year. We're her parents . She'll be fine".

"That's the thing...", I said "She doesn't know she's adopted....."
