Josh Dun - Bad Day

You were having a shitty day. The shittiest of all days. You had to go to your shitty job and eat shitty lunch and get paid a shitty salary and on top of that, your shitty boss gave you a shitty amount of work to take back to your shitty home. It was pretty shitty.

You didn't want to do all the work at home and decided to go to a nice little cafe down the street from where your worked. As you walked in, a little bell above the door chimed and the smell of fresh coffee beans hit you in the face, waking you back up because you were quite literally a zombie.

You trudged up to the counter and ordered the strongest coffee they sold. You had no idea what it was called, but you needed it. You collected your coffee and sat down at the furthest table, in a secluded corner with a low hanging light. The coffee shop was deserted so when you heard the bell above the door ring again, curiosity got the best of you and you looked up to see who had just entered the safe haven. The man you saw practically took your breath away. He was wearing a grey muscle tee, showing off his tattoo of what appeared to be a tree and his bright red hair stuck out in little tufts from his backwards cap. He ordered, paid and collected his coffee before turning to look your way and you quickly turned your head so he wouldn't catch you staring. 'Good going Y/N', you thought, 'because that wasn't obvious'. "It wasn't until you said that actually," the boy smiled, suddenly appearing in front of you. It was only then that you realised, you had said that aloud. You turned bright red and smiled a shy smile.

"I'm Josh by the way, and you are?" the boy asked, extending his hand out to yours. "Y/N, my name's Y/N". Josh sat down and took a sip of his coffee. "Long day?" you exhaled a breath you had been holding and nodded in response. "Want to talk about it?" You looked up at him and he smiled one of the most reassuring smiles you've ever seen.

You told him about your shitty day and the conversation went on from there. You spoke about anything and everything and by the end of the (possibly) few hours you were sitting there, you felt like you had known him for ages. Unfortunately, you had to go because the stupid cafe had to close and make your day go from looking up to looking back down again. You and Josh exchanged numbers and promised to keep in touch.

You got a call the next morning and from there, your little coffee shop romance bloomed.

Guys I am soooooo sorry I haven't updated in forever but I have been so busy with work that it's not even funny. I would like to thank you all for the support and everything I have gotten during the process of writing this little book and I would like to give a heads up that I will be a bit slow with the updates. I have school, work, cadets, netball and driving lessons to try to balance but I promise, when I can, there will be some double and triple updates heading your way.

Thank you all so much for understanding xx
