(Quick info! Normal font is Ian's speech + present actions and italic is memories..)

"You passed away way too soon. It wasn't your time to die. You're not supposed to die at an age of nineteen. That's when your real life begins. You had your whole life ahead. Instead of starting to live your life, you were dragged away to the other side, if that side even exists. I remember when you said we were going to end up as eighty year old virgins that only found company in each other..."

We were celebrating my eighteenth birthday in my room with take-away pizza and blasting Fall of Troy. We had snuck in two beers as well, which we devoured quickly. That resulted in us being slightly tipsy, since we touched alcohol for the first time and we didn't know how to handle even that small amount, and giggly. We started to talk about how "normal" boys would have a big party with girls and heavy partying.

"We are eighteen and we sit in your room eating pizza and drinking two beer, while we should've thrown a big party and inviting a lot of girls. Which would result in both of us solving the whole virginity-thing" he said and I giggled.

"You saying we would lose our virginity to each other?" I asked and he blushed.

"No! You know what I meant. I meant to actual hot girls."

"What makes you think any hot girl would do it with a guy like me or you?"

"Duh, after a bit of alcohol they would do it with anyone" he said.

"Or anything. Some are into kinky stuff" I corrected him and we both giggled.

"If we look at the situation as it is right now, we will end up as eighty year old virgins. Living together with a cat" Anthony said and took another pizza slice.

"True..But why a cat?"

"All weird people own one or several cats" he said with his mouth full. I just giggled and took a slice.

"...but then you found Kristin. And you were a match. Now I will end up as an eighty year old virgin alone" I began and tried to smile, but it failed and it ended as a sob. I looked over at Kristin who were staring at me with tearfilled eyes. I continued. "Everyone in this church are people that care about you, love you and have been a part of your life, including myself. The last few days without you have been hard to live through. You were always around to cheer me up and make me leave the bed, even though I really didn't want to..."

"Ian! Wake up!" I heard Anthony say while he jumped on my bed. I buried my face in my pillow. Yesterday was awful, and I didn't feel like doing anything today. But I had to. I have a job to go to.

"No..I want to sleep..Go away.." I muttered. He jumped off the bed and I thought he would do as I said.

He didn't. Instead he dragged off my duvet and threw it on the floor. I grunted.

"Look. I know that yesterday wasn't the best day of your life-"

"Of course it wasn't! I finally had the courage to ask the girl I've been in love with since freshman year, out on a date and she rejected me.." I interrupted him.

"And that sucks, but you can't let some girl destroy a perfectly good day! How about we stay here and play some video games and watch some of your favourite movies? Does that sound good or what?" he said and smiled at me.

"But.. I have to go to work. My boss would kill me if I ditched" I said sadly. I really wanted to spend the day alone with Anthony, but I had to earn money somehow.

"Don't worry about that. I'll call them and say you're not feeling good and that they have to find someone else to be Chuck E Cheese's mascot for the day" he told me and smiled that adorable, contagious smile of his. I instantly smiled back and got out of bed. Anthony was heading towards the door, but before he left: I hugged him.

"Thanks. You're the bestest best friend in the world" I told him and he hugged me back. After a bit, we let go and he walked into the living room to call my boss while I got dressed. His smile surely made me want to wake up.

"...that great mood of yours that you always seemed to carry with you, didn't just give me the energy to handle whatever the day brought. Without you, the days are gray and boring. You brought colour to even the most eventless day, just by smiling that contagious smile you always wore" I said and paused before taking a deep breath.

"People say you can only find happiness in what you can't get, but I were happy. My happiness disappeared with you, but it still exists. It's just not with me anymore.

You are my happiness.."

Author's Note: And that's the ending! No it's not, I am going to write two alternate endings :) This was originally the ending when I wrote it at school, but I just can't live with myself if I end it like that :p So look forward to that. When I publish, you can choose to read both or only one of them.

And! Please vote for the ending you preferred (when they're published, of course).

Now the story has over 600 reads, that's so cool! I'm so happy you guys like my little fanfic :3

Vote for this if you enjoyed. Follow me to know when I publish. Share this to your friends or even your mom if she's into this kind of stuff XD
