"Oh course those jerks picked a Friday for us to start detention. And we have to come back over the weekend." Paige whined. "I was going to spend this weekend with Emery Ross!"
"The senior?" Matthew asked with a frown. "Tell her he's bad news."
"Matthew says he's bad news." (Y/n) looks towards Paige.
"Well tell Mattew that I don't care." She lifted her chin. "Maybe I need someone who's willing to take risks in my life because you certainly aren't.
"Wow. Okay. First of all, thanks, I'm glad I excite you." (Y/n) sneered sarcastically. "And second, Matthew can hear you. It's not like I-can't-see-you-so-you-can't-hear-me."
"Is that even a thing?" Paige raised an eyebrow.
"No." (Y/n) laughed.
"I've never gotten detention before." Matthew said. "I can't believe I have to follow you there."
"By all means, leave." (Y/n) waved to the hallway behind her. "Go find your brother or something."
"Well I think you'll find it funny," Matthew grinned down at (Y/n). "But after less than a week he's gotten himself detention."
"Geez," (Y/n) frowned. "What did he do?"
"Snapped at a teacher." Matthew shook his head on disapproval. "He called her a condescending C-word."
"Shit." (Y/n) breathes. "It sounds like he's really losing it."
"It all my fault." Matthew casts a sad look to the white tiled floor in front of him.
