Chapter 12 -

That night Rosco drove me home. He told me I fainted and didn't wake up til I was home, in my own bed. My mom wasn't home that night, so Rosco slept over to "watch me" he claimed. It was sweet of him. We had left a message on my mom's phone for when she returned.

"Lacy?!" I heard my mom's voice come through the door. I'd never heard her sound so panicked in my life time. It was afternoon the next day after the incident. Rosco was in the kitchen making coffee.

"I'm here mom." I responded. I heard her heels click on the floor as she ran into the livingroom.

"Baby!" She come towards me and I got up and hugged her tightly. "Are you hurt?" She pulled me back and eyed me up and down.

"No, I'm fine mom." I tried smiling.

"She's more in shock than anything." Rosco came in with two cups of coffee placing them on the coffee table.

"Oh thank you Rosco!" My mom went and hugged Rosco and cried a little. I'd never seen her like this ever. It was surprising. "Okay, I've decided. Both of you, pack your bags, you are going to my villa tonight." She stepped away from us both.

"Uh... what?" Rosco oped his eyes wide raising his eyebrows.

"You mean... Ani-South?" I walked closer.

"Yes, you leave tonight. Rosco go home and pack. Tell your parents and give them my phone number and name. Go on now." She grabbed her phone and started talking into it.

"Um... Okay, Lacy I'll be back in about an hour I suppose..." He mumbled and left. I don't know how he's getting there.

I felt my phone vibrate and I checked it. I laughed to myself when I read it. "I stole your car, I forgot that I didn't have mine... Oops." Now I know how Rosco's getting home... My car! What a goof. I wonder what this trip with Rosco will bring... Should be fun and also interesting.
