The moonlight shone through the luminescent dorm room window curtains. It's been two weeks since the pre-assessment and the doctor finally allowed her to continue with her training. It turns out that with the power of fire, you heal faster than others.

I rose out of bed and dragged myself to the bathroom. When I turned on the light, there was a face staring back at me. I knew it was mine, but something was different.

Looking at me through the mirror was a girl with long, straight, red hair with golden and orange streak. Brown eyes with beautiful red flecks. I blinked once, twice. My cheeks were rosy and my lips fuller and more pink.

My true form! I thought. They talked about this in Power Ed. They said that once you have your power, your true form will appear. It's very rare that your new appearance matches your power.

I quickly brushed my hair and headed out of the dorm building. Outside was a field of new faces. Everyone looked different. It was a sea of blue, yellow, and white hair. All different shades of... difference.

As I walked through the crowd, whispers broke out among the people. They parted as I came near them.

"Spirit!" called Raina, at least I think it was. I looked around but didn't see her bright blue hair. I felt a tap on my shoulder; when I turn around, I saw Raina. Still with her curls but with light blonde hair and blue highlights scattered about. Her eyes a purple color that sparkled. Her pale skin now a tan.

"Wow!" You look amazing Spirit!" exclaimed Raina. She felt my soft hair and gasped, "No way! Your hair has sparkles!"

"You look great!" I said, smiling. We pointed out others as we skipped happily to the training room.

Looking around, I realized nobody's appearance is the same as their power... except me.

I was still laughing as I got to my training area. Fye was staring at me as I came near him. He quickly typed something into his tablet; as he did so, he kept watching me.

"Is everything okay?" I asked.

He grabbed my arm and pulled me towards the screen room. "Come with me.'

Once inside, he quickly pushed me into a corner and held me there.

"Listen to me.You must not tell anyone about this. Promise"

I nodded and he leaned in closer. "You're in great danger."
