Chapter 5-Kayla

I walked into the conference room, and Eva came in a few minutes later. I two-finger saluted her as she came to sit down.

" So first of all, we should introduce ourselves. I'm Toby." He said, holding out his hand for Eva and I to shake. I saluted him and Eva shook his hand.

"I'm Evangeline, but Kayla calls me Eva." Eva said, shaking her hand.

" Kayla." I replied.

"I'm Nathan. So team, where is our first location." He says.

"What are you doing?" I ask impatiently while rolling my eyes.

"Leading."

"So your the leader?" I say with a scoff.

"That's right" he says plainly then continues with a very stupid plan, I didn't have to hear it I already know it was stupid.

Toby put 2 hotel keys on the table and I tune in.

"These are for our hotel. It's not far away from where we need to be. And this." He put a file on the table as well." This is our whole mission, our target, where they are, and our weapons." He said, I grabbed the file and stared at it. I looked at the target and cursed. Then I grabbed the 2 hotel keys, the file, and my bag and ran out the door. I ran out to the agency garage and hopped on my bike(image above). I plugged the coordinates to the hotel in my phone before driving off. I heard Toby and Nathan yelling out to me, but I was already gone.......

1 Hour Later

I opened the door to our hotel and walked inside, it's roomy. There's 3 rooms. 1 of them is a 2 bed room, it has a kitchen and also a balcony. I took one of the 1 bed rooms and plopped my stuff down. Grabbing the mission file and my laptop. I also threw my glasses on and changed into something more comfortable- aka sweatpants and a sweatshirt.

  I sat down on the floor and logged into my laptop and plugged my flash drive into it. I began searching on our target, Lucas Reed. My personal videos showed up. I clicked on one.

  "Come on Kayla! You're so slow!"

Luke teased. I ran faster behind him, and then ended up slipping, we both laughed. He came over to my and placed a kiss on my lips. It was an old video of me and him. After the video ended I just sat there on the floor.

"Oh Luke, why did you have to break me like this." I said to myself. A single tear slipping down my cheek.

  I an hour later the others showed up. I shut off my computer and walked out the door.

"Thanks a lot Kayla. We had to spend a half and hour waiting for a new key to the hotel. Then we had to drive all the way here AND we haven't even seen the file yet." Nathan yelled. Annoyance showing all across his face. The other two just stood there, nodding their heads.

" What have you been doing since you made your GRAND exit? Huh? Trying to figure out what dress your gonna wear tomorrow?" He accused. Ugh I hate him. My anger clearly was showing as I went up and punched him in the gut. He keeled over and as he did, I kneed him in the nose.

" You don't know me at all, so STOP acting like you do." I shouted and stalked back to my room. I slammed my door shut, I have had enough of his pestering and I just wanted to sleep. So I threw my laptop, flash drive, and the file into my bag and threw it into the corner of the room. I plopped down on my bed and took my glasses off, set them on the table, and slowly drifted off to sleep..
