Chapter 24- Evangeline

I instantly grab my knife from my boots.

"Show yourself." I say.

"And ruin the fun, I don't think so." I couldn't tell f the voice was male or female, it sounded like it was covered by a mask.

I run over to Toby and cut off the ropes.I feel a hand grab my arm and squeeze. They have a strong grip and I can't get out of it, so I bite their hand.

Someone comes from the shadows and kicks my stomach, I grab their leg as its falling and pull them to the ground. They scream. I grab Toby and run out the door, I head towards Kayla's room and knock on the door, no answer.

I go to Nathan's next and there still wasn't an answer, I kick down Kaylas door. The room was empty, I look out the window and Kayla and Nathan are running. Jerks.

I hear someone come up the stairs and I grab a throwing knife from Kaylas drawer.

"Who are you?!?" I shout and I see a fist come out of the dark to punch my throat. I grab the fist andty to pull the person towards me.

"Can't tell you!" They say and kick my head, everything's black after that.

My eyes open and I try to focus them, I'm in a blue room. I look over and Toby is tied up next to me I'm tied too.

Our weapons are gone.

There is a camera in the corner.

I hear footsteps and the door opens, in steps a middle aged girl.

"Tobias Eden?" She says and Toby looks up. She unties him and pulls him towards the door. (If you get that name reference you are awesome-Mare)

He struggles against her and kicks her stomach, she keels over and Toby races to me.

"Do you have a knife."

"Obviously not they removed my weapons!"

He rolls his eyes and tries to untie me. Once he's done we race from the room and out to the hallway

"What the heck?!?" I say.

"What?"

"i know exactly where we are." I say and take off running. I run down two flights of stairs and take a left, down the route I know way to well.

I stop at a room and look around, it's abandoned. I dig through drawers then stop.

"I found it." I whisper.

"Found what, Eva where are we?"

I show him what's in my hand and he gasps then smiles a little.

"Okay, now can we get out of here?!"

"Right, this way." I say and race out of the room. I head down a narrow corridor to a servant staircase, it led to a garden. I stop when we get to the door out,

"Okay, when I count to three we have to sprint, just follow me. There are cameras and windows everywhere." Toby nods.

"One....two...three!" I say and take off. I look back at Toby and he's right behind me. He frantically points ahead of me, I turn my head.

Standing in front of me is the masked person. I can tell she's a girl because of her stance and I charge at her.

I kick my foot up hoping she catches it.

She does and I use her strong grip by taking my other leg and kicking her head. Her head falls back from the blow. But she quickly recovers and grabs me by the shoulder, swings me around and injects something in my arm. I quickly fall into, again, a deep darkness.

I wake up, again tied to a chair. This time I was alone in a small grey room. I heard the doorknob click the girl who knocked me out walked in, she's  no older than Kayla.

"Evangeline Sadder?" The girl asked, taking off her mask. She had long blonde hair with grey-green eyes.

"Evangeline you have caused quite a scene here today, you made me get off of my guard watch  just to make sure you didn't escape. But, I'm not here to make you talk, or anything like that. And since I already know your name, you should know mine. I'm Clark." She says walking over and untying me from my chair.

She extends her hand out for me to shake, I grab it and try my best to twist it around her. But she deflects the blow.

"You may not want to do that Eva, I may have to tie you back up the the chair. And I don't think that will go very well for you, I have the power to send out a team to, let's just say.. Exterminate your little lover boy out there." I fall back a little at her words. Toby escaped? Why hasn't he come for me yet?

"What do you want from me then?"

"You see Eva, the only thing I want from you is information."

"What information could you get from me?!"

"Kayla's information, I do believe you know something about her."

"Barely, if you couldn't tell Kayla isn't exactly an open book."

"Yes, but  I think right now you know more about her than anyone else."

"Why do you want it?"

"Sorry that's top secret, now tell me about Kayla."

"Sorry that's top secret." I say and she glares at me.

"I do hope we can get along Eva." She says and I glare at her.

"Sorry to crush your dreams but I don't think that's gonna happen." I say then kick her stomach.

I see her take out another shot thingy and I kick it out of her hands.

"Do you really think I'm that dumb?!?" I say and punch her throat. She puts her hand to her neck in shock and I punch her stomach to make her fall.

I run out the door and then lock her in the room.

I hear people coming towards me and I run in the other direction. Past doors and doors.

I run up 5 flights of stairs until I know where I am again. I walk into one room, in it is a car. Clarks car, I'm in the garage.

I climb into it and frantically start up the car. It starts up and I drive through the side of the wall.
