Chapter 3

Emily's POV:

I successfully got Caleb's pitch back. I was so excited to see him open it, I just couldn't wait. He kept asking me what I got him. All I would tell him is that it's something he's wanted a lot.

"Em, please tell me! I'll act as if I never knew what it was!"

"No Caleb. Your going to see it soon!"

Finally it was time to open presents and Caleb opened mine first. He ripped one part of the wrapping paper and saw "pitch" and flipped out.

"No. It can't- EMILY?!" Caleb screamed

"Yes Caleb?"

"Why did you get this for me? It must have been expensive?!"

"Don't worry about it cae. It's what you wanted."

"Thank you so much Emily..... My gift wasn't this big for you though."

"Caleb, your gift meant a lot to me. I'm very grateful for it."

His gift meant the world to me. The only time I took it off was when I would take a shower. I didn't want the water to ruin the material it was made out of so I would hang it up on my towel hook.

Caleb decided to spend the night at my house. So before he got here I cleaned my room, got some snacks ( some of Caleb's favorites ), and looked for some good movies. About 15 minutes later I heard a knock at the door. It wasn't who I expected. It was Katie, Caleb's mom.

"Hey Emily! Caleb will be here in 10 minutes, but I wanted to talk to you really quick."

"Okay, sure anything."

"I wanted to thank you so much for getting Caleb his pitch back. We are thinking about starting a YouTube channel but we want to get a good quality camera for the videos. So we have been saving up money for the past couple of weeks."

"No problem! I was happy to get Caleb his pitch back. But you have to promise me one thing" I said.

"Anything sweetheart."

"You gotta let me be on the channel." I said.

"Totally." Then I heard Caleb's giggle behind his mom.

"Awe Man! I wanted to scare you guys!" Caleb whined.

"Next time me a little more quieter." Me and Katie said.

We spent the rest of the night watching movies and talking about today.

"I just want to say thank you again for the pitch back. It means a lot Emily." Caleb said.

"No problem. Anything for you Caleb."

"Listen, I know we are way to young to date now, but I just want to promise you when we get older, I'll be by your side anytime you need me. Forever." Caleb said.

"And the same to you Caleb." It's all I could get out. I was so happy he said that!

"I love you Emily."

"I love you too Caleb."

Then we fell asleep.

I woke up at about 4 AM I had a really bad dream and I think I woke up screaming.

"Is everything okay Emily?" Caleb asked.

"Yeah, sorry I just had a bad dream." I responded.

Caleb climbed up in bed with me so I wasn't scared and alone. Then I fell asleep peacefully.......
